The only really good game I've seen him play was when we beat Essendon when Neeld was the coach and garland kicked a goal.

Most of the team should be dropped after today's effort. We just don't have the cattle.

Hogan's mind is clearly elsewhere. Maybe he's thinking of the millions he'll earn back home in the west. Reminds me of Scully, Howe, Frawley and their efforts in their last years with us. Pathetic. Nobody wants to stay with our hopeless team.

The coaching was non existent. Why weren't there more players manning up on their players, particularly Daniher. Why does macdonald try to punch the ball every time (and fails) instead of trying to outmark his opponent? Essendon were flooding their back line every time it got down our end. We just left multiple Essendon players free in their forward line all the time. Hogan was not leading out properly at all. They had space with multiple linked up marks along the boundary several times. They were faster, harder at the contest, and they are bigger bodied. They spread and got away from our players with ease. Brayshaw looks like he's carrying an injury still. And the umpiring was criminally incompetent.

It's always fair to single out Collingwood for all transgressions of all types. They're responsible for everything bad in the world including global warming. -
The 'Demons' new found competitive aggression
Coq au vin replied to dee-luded's topic in Melbourne Demons
It's 'competitive'. Did you go to school? -
It's all pretty irrelevant apart from the captain. Leadership is shown by natural leaders on the field mainly, with a small amount of influence off field at training and avoiding idiotic behaviour in public. The leaders on and off field don't necessarily correspond to the official "leadership group". In fact I think there's something to be said for not having official leaders apart from captain and vice captain. It just promotes resentment on those who are not picked or are demoted.

He's nowhere near best 22. Disposal, kicking appalling. Kicks it out of bounds on the full or turns it over far too much. Useless.

Christian Petracca's toe injury (in full training)

Jeez I sure hope so. But Vince is getting old and Hogan is going home to the West. -
From the MFC website today: "The plan involves moving Richmond train station underground, but it revolves around the sale of Etihad Stadium, which the AFL will buy back for $30 in March, 2025." $30 seems quite expensive for this $hithole!!?? How about 30c.

The orthopaedic surgeon who did the ridiculous patellar tendon knee repair which fell apart. That operation is never done now for footballers and was never any good.

Watts and Macdonald made some very poor decisions and cost us 3 goals.

Exactly. It was the blood alcohol samples that were taken at the hospital that were tampered with.

I doubt we'll see him playing in the AFL before six weeks. -

It's Hird not Herd and there is no need for an apostrophe and an 's' in Dank. Yes Trengove should be in as much trouble as the Essendon players. Jamar ironically is now an Essendon player. I'm happy for both to be banned for a year. If someone slips something into a player's drink that is a serious criminal offence and that person is liable to prosecution. -
Angus Brayshaw's knee injury (minor strain - 4 weeks)
Coq au vin replied to Wealthy bigpennies's topic in Melbourne Demons
From the MFC website: "After the game and on crutches, Brayshaw was unable to put any weight on his left leg." I'd be more concerned about a minor fracture or the so-called "bone bruising" that shows up on MRI given the mechanism of injury. ACL tear appears unlikely (but still possible, or PCL). -
'There' not 'they're'.

Wait for the scans. It's concerning that he can't weight bear on that lower limb. -
Saturday Talking Point: Game Day 27/2/16

Out for 6 weeks. The purpose of NAB cup is for at least one of our top players to get an injury that stuffs their season. Remember Jurrah's shoulder and Hogan's back? -
