  1. It won't be. We will lose to hawthorn by at least 10 goals. Returning from a road trip in the heat we never do well. Hawthorn are a few notches above us.
  2. I wasn't comparing anyone in particular. Just experienced players. We even have a couple of premiership players.
  3. There has been a lot of commentary around the delisting of Junior McDonald and other oldies. Why, then are the same commentators not recommending that more old, experienced players should be in the team, showing the youngsters the way?
  4. It makes no difference who plays. We'll lose by at least 10 goals.
  5. Developing what? The ability to lose to better teams. We've had that for a long time.
  6. Jones tries hard but his disposal is often poor. Bombs it long to the opposition or hand passes to a player under pressure.
  7. Bigger, stronger, faster, cleaner with the hands. Just like St. Kilda and Essendon. We still don't have the cattle.
  8. This team has no defensive structure whatsoever today. They are slicing through and going over the top over and over again. The tackling and skills are abysmal. Turnovers, dropped handballs, dropped marks even when there is no pressure on the receiver. Disgraceful.
  9. Tackling like basketballers. They need some lessons in tackling from Melbourne Storm. Agree this is like Essendon and St kilda games. Nobody preventing the coast to coast movement of the ball out of our forward line down the boundary to their goal.
  10. Yes. Unless they are on an assessment order (involuntary patient).
  11. It's not that serious if it's just hypo- or hyperthyroidism. Can usually be easily treated with medications.
  12. I'm very surprised that most can't see the need for backup ruck for max.
  13. Of course it's named after me sweeties!
  14. It's about the money. $cully didn't leave to go to a highly successful team either. If hogan is offered a buddy Franklin deal to go home to mummy why wouldn't he leave?
  15. Tonight I watched a great comeback by the Saints to be equal to the Roos within a minute and a bit of the siren. Much as I dislike both teams it is exceedingly frustrating to see a highly questionable umpiring decision in a ruck duel decide a game such as this one. The umpires have been given far too much latitude to make subjective decisions and ruin games. The latest rule changes, particularly the "deliberate" out of bounds rule have been interpreted and misinterpreted badly this year. Free kicks and umpires should not decide games. Good, hard, fair play should decide games. Players should be protected by the rules from deliberate injury. Players who deliberately duck or dive into tackles should be penalized not rewarded. Otherwise what is the point of rules that are designed to protect them? what do you think?
