I actually really like Toumpas. Another preseason and i have no doubts that he'll be a player. Please, please, please close this thread.

Rumours from sources, a mate i know is pretty good friends with his best mate. And apparently rumours flying around about Melbourne being linked with him. Riley has no area in his game that makes him special. I like some of his work, but he doesnt get me reeally. Mckenzie is good one week and rubbish for the next 5. Bail? hahahah he is the exact some role, half forward moving up. And for a player who has played so little games, his average is very impressive. From NEAFL and previous AFL (last year), he is a ball magnet.

I watched him play the second half of last year and the games he played this year so far. He has ability to put on defensive pressure and play offensive. Something Bail does not do very well and i believe he'd make our team. We have players like Bail, Riley, Mckenzie and probably Terlich getting regular games. He is ahead of all these players. Secondly, his ability to find the ball is something our midfield would love, we currently dont have enough ball magnet. So that "ridiculous comment" comes from watching him play a fair amount of games, understanding the type of player he is and understanding the type of player we dont have.

I wouldnt be surprised if Viney's heart had the MFC written all over it. He will not be leaving. He is a demon through and through, just like Jack Trengove

A few rumours floating around that Melbourne are keen on the kid and he is obviously not cracking a game in a very very strong Sydney side. From watching him last year, it is obvious that he has no issues finding the footy and has a pretty solid left boot. Personally, i think he should be in the Sydney side at the moment, but the fact that he isnt probably makes him gettable. He would probably walk for a second round pick? i cant imagine Sydney asking more, considering he isnt getting a game. Would crack straight into our best 22 in my opinion, i would have him ahead of Bail and probably Matt Jones from first thoughts. Would you like to see him in the red and blue? I think he'd be a really important and solid get if we could snare the little ball magnet.

I would like to see Blease have one game at senior level at least! I do agree he has flaws.. but i believe his upside can be truly special

Whilst i dont believe well get either. Both are in the top 10 players in the AFL. Both can break packs, win ball, take big marks and run. Dangerfield has a rare ability to burst though packs. Dont agree.. both are much better than anyone in the Sydney midfield

That is the kind of deals that will positively impact our side moving forward.

In regards to some of you who think we will go chasing down big players at the end of the year. It is not in the Roos formula to buy a player for over a million a year. It is very likely we will bring in a few players, but i am very very doubtful it will be Dangerfield or Fyfe. I would love these players as much as anyone, but as soon as Melbourne supporters get out of fairy land, thinking we we could get them, the sooner we can actually focus on who we might actually get. Now, saying "oh, but we didnt expect to get Tyson", doesnt cut it. Tyson was not a household name and a much much easier target. Those are the targets, once again that we should be getting. It is more likely we spend half of that on someone like Mckay, Mundy or somebody else. We may even just stick to the draft. But it is very likely that Melbourne will not have Fyfe or Dangerfield in red and blue next year, and years to come. Also, potentially we will look at GWS young players and try get them. Now. once again. I will say. I would love a massive profile player of the calibre of Gibbs, Fyfe or Dangerfield, but it ail not happen and our culture will be better for it. To not have so much focus on bringing in someone as the "messiah". I would love people to challenge me on what they think, it will be interesting to see. But this is my honest opinion.

I do love reading their sad comments and i did that after the Carlton win. But pathetic attitude of bombers supporters, to be speaking about Melbourne that way. It was a one point loss in which we outran them in the second half. We were far better than them from the 8 minute mark of the 3rd quarter onwards!
