  1. Firstly, his West Coast (18 touches, 9 marks), GWS (18 touches, 2 goals) and Carlton (14 touches, 4 tackles and 2 goals) games were all pretty decent, while nothing special, definitely appeared to be making inroads. Last week was a step back, but he needs to be in the team. It was a soft match but Roos will not lose faith after 1 really poor match.
  2. I'd rather not take Goldsack, personally. Because he is not anything special at either end of the ground, but still wouldnt hurt. I'd rather trade our picks and get a gun on a healthy salary
  3. For me personally Nathan Jones just has to be the stand out. Last year he wasnt close to AA, he was still a gun, but this year it has all changed. He is actually elite. Since when have we had an elite midfielder of the comp at Melbourne!
  4. Yeah that'd probably be okay, but we'd need to do something similar obviously. For example: Pick 2- Patton and their second round pick Pick 2 and 20- Orourke, Tomlinson and their 3rd rounder
  5. wasnt it originally minor back fractures, or am i delusional? if it is, all it needs is rest. Infact, i am absolutely correct. http://www.afl.com.au/news/2014-03-06/hogan-a-likely-non-starter it's absolutely the same
  6. Yes, Lynden Dunn has definitely exceeded everybodys' expectations, playing quality football
  7. so neither debut till 2015? At this stage Hogan isnt looking good. 4 weeks every update
  8. Look, the question is judge us after 5 rounds. While i am quite disappointed being 1-4, considering we could easily be 4-1 (based on the situations we have been in the other games we lost). I am very happy with the progress we have made. It appears as if we have a very young, yet competitive midfield which will only get better. Still lacking a quality half back line, Toump and Salem to hopefully slot right in there. The forward line will inevitably be better when Hogan and someone else is down there. Dawes doing a great job and loving Dean Kent. I am optimistic if we can keep this up, i know we can snag some upset wins.
  9. What year was Orourke Drafted? i'd love him, would go beautifully next to Tyson and Viney Completely agree with this! Would love him
  10. Players i'd like Melbourne to hopefully target at the end of the year. Patrick Dangerfield- Complete longshot and we'd have to offer our best pick for the bull himself. Also, a pretty healthy pay packet. I'd assume only possible if Frawley Leaves. Josh Jenkins- Absolute unit. He'd fit nicely with Hogan, Dawes, JKH and Howe down there. Matt Rosa- Quick midfielder and a free agent, he'd definitely be worth a look. David Mckay- A free agent who we have targeted previously, i'd love to lure him to the dees. Has dash that we need off half back. Nathan Fyfe- Same boat as Dangerfield Dane Swan- I know for a fact that he does not exactly love Buckley. Would come for abit of money and a free agent, we should seriously do our best to lure him. Adam Tomlinson- In all honesty he'd be my favourite target out of this whole list. I rate him almost as high as Jesse Hogan, no joke. He's an absolute jet of a footballer and would love to take him off GWS (i'm still sad about Scully) Will Hoskin-Elliot- Same boat as Tomlinson, would love to steal him off GWS would be great to get one or more of these players, i'd be stoked
  11. It is one of those injuries that you can never be sure of. Last year post Australian Open, Thanisai Kokkinakis had the exact same injury and it sidelined him till late May, which is about 4 months... Im not pencilling him to even be a chance till post round 12/BYE (not sure when ours is off the top of my head)..
  12. Interesting thought on who has exceeded Demonlanders expectations so far this year, would be great to hear yours.. I have two Nathan Jones: In the beginning of the year i thought he was pushing to be an A-Grader and looked good because we had no one good. This year has changed my view further, i now classify him an elite midfielder of the comp and the best player ive seen at Melbourne for a long, long time. He has also passed Murphy as a player, which makes me grin. Dom Tyson: While was quiet last week, he will be an absolute star at this rate. Couldnt understand why he didnt get a game at GWS and still dont understand. The Salem and Tyson trade in my opinion could turn out to be the best trade of the modern era. Both are classy footballers, something we lack. Toumpas, Tyson, Viney, Salem and Jones makes me salivate. thoughts?
