Can't match the intensity against top quality teams...... No appetite for the contest........ Bradshaw typifies what's required & difference between the two is night & day...... I doubt if Watts will ever change & the question is how would he survive under Ross Lyon regime????

He represents the poor drafting & crap culture/development which occurred @ the club from mid 2000s to 2013... As we all aware of the failed early picks... I wonder a player of his talent would have performed under Roos regime????

Sick to death of watching this game getting hijacked by off field matters were all the pre game & footy shows taking up the majority of air time.... We watch these shows to hear about the opinions from experts on actually on field performances etc.. The media is obsessed with controversial matters to a point were there are press conferences on every issue........I understand these matters are serious etc but they need to stop giving these idiots air time & fuelling it!

Equalisation died when the 2 expansion teams were introduced......clubs like ours who butchered their early picks from the mid 2000s along with poor culture & development are paying the price now.....someone has to finish last but the competition should not be about the same teams winning the flag also.... Current free agency had seen top clubs pick up kpp & lower clubs pay overs to attract them.. Afl & players want it both ways ... Players right to move & play finals & control clubs via salary cap whilst the expansion teams get all the best talent ....Have the biggest teams playing prime time & banish teams to play Sunday arvo... This is not a competition rather a marketing exercise....

All these records wil be broken when we build a club both off & on the field which can challenge playing finals & grand finals...this will not happen overnight ... Look at the clubs like haw, Geel & swans it took them a decade to build those lists

This effort needs to be std.... Understand were the list & some great signs in Hogan, Bradshaw etc But Watts 2 dropped marks cost us 2 goals ... Defenders busted thr ass to win the ball back & then to see him turn it over.. Honestly I wonder if he has the intensity to able to play at the level to win these tough games let alone finals!

I know all clubs have injuries ... But it seems at times we are jinxed!

Just to pose a question... How can Essendon with all the crap that's been placed on them etc able to beat the reigning premiers & almost the runners up from last yr??? Our club must have imbedded poor culture in its DNA....

Agree Dawes played Nab challenge... Wasn't that bad ... Not that you can gauge much from the challenge games.... Overall Roos will need to look @ the lack of intensity from the group

A lot of posters are having a crack at Dawes & Vince, both had good form in the preseason & Casey ......Need to look further into the players mindset after 1/2 time...

I think the effort was thr just not the intensity required to continued pushing @ afl level.... We forget the same team held them to just 2 goals in the 1st 1/2.....

Listening to Roos presser... Why was there a lack of effort... Did players think that it would just happen?

As frustrating as it is ... the gap between our best & worst is evident ... we shouldn't all go into meltdown ...Roos did warn all of us that we are going to lose games ...

After the failed merger our club never laid out a long term plan instead it engaged with an individual as a white knight who would rescue the club by donating his money....A continued band aid approach to only solve short term issues.... Hawks developed strong off field finances & galvinsed their supporter base.... Result 3 flags, 70k membership & huge annual profits

Can't look back .. But how many young kids did we lose from 08-2013??? I'm a18yr member but my 17yo son lost interest.... He was 8yo when we last played finals in 06
