Goodwin pretty much summed up that after 21 the reasons for the drop off, our list is worse because we only trade in vfl players, apart from Grundy which failed which other player has improved our list

Only 21 yo… F/S have worked well, the academies in Qld are producing good young talent for both the lions & GC, vic teams don’t have this, they have traded great exp talent and will get Draper & Allen .. Not sure how equalisation is in play when a back to back premiership team is able to do this…

Agree or allow every club to have its own academies to develop talent, as the northern clubs are getting access to good talent and undermines the draft, quite possibly lions could have access to a top 10 pick after winning the back to back flags … equalisation hey

So no F/S we miss out on White, Yze, Green, etc etc

What’s sad & frustrating is if Trac wants out, watching how unified the lions group is and hearing Neil say how tight they are! Instead of our Norm Smith wanting to be part of the solution he wants to jump ship still in contract ..

Their trades over the last 5-6 years have been great & improved their list, father sons have worked well, their academy has produced Harris Andrews, Eric Hipwood, Jesse Wardlaw, Keidean Coleman, Ty Gallop, and Sam Marshall. Are the Victorian teams disadvantaged with the academies in Sydney & qld teams??

People going on about the father sons Ashcrofts etc that’s one part the other is the clubs development and culture.. the talent they have under 21 is crazy , were they part of their academy ?

21 was selfless .. they went away from that .. that purpose is enough to strive for the Swans wee/are great at this

Cats hadn’t won a flag since the 60s, their culture was set up and continue after 07 within their playing group, we had knuckled head May having a bust up in 22 with his team mates, player standards dropped off,player behaviour off field, Oliver getting game time after missing pre season, players tummies were full, what message is that to others who busted their behinds? This falls at the feet of the coaching staff & leaders

Let’s hope we can trade in decent talent to improve the list vs the vfl players we gotten since 21!
