Correct poor mgt of clubs impacts the success, my point is rather the Afl carries in about growing the game in northern states and supporting the expansion clubs etc but both the lions & Swans have played in over 50% of GFs in the last 25yrs, expecting similar success in GC & GWS whilst there vic clubs stay unsuccessful

The 2 GF teams Continue to strengthen their list with top end talent with Draper & Allen and Cats Curnow the afl have a supposedly equalisation lever with the draft but then offset with free agency and players able to nominate clubs they want to be traded, which generally they gravitate to teams at the top or unique clubs were obscurity in non afl states, vs 9 teams in metro Melb, not taking nothing away from well run clubs but afl concerned about game growth in northern states yet those states since 2000 played in 15 GFs & won 7 flags , a 3 peat, back to back & possibly another 3 peat & their own academies to develop talent Yet between the foundation clubs of Melb,Ess,Carl,Saints,Nth,Dogs they have won 3 flags between with 4GF appearances Not sure how this is equalisation??

Just a thought would Jy Simpkin be worth any of the picks from GC?

This is a disaster if we take pick 35, we are given up a 200 gamer & sure he needed to go last year or even earlier, but hope the club have players to replace his experience, are they looking at Jack Steele or Jy Simpkin

What do picks 7/8 do if the draft is shallow & having to wait for a player to develop or are they targeting a gun in contract ?

What’s occurred at our club since the flag is a sad and a reflection of how poor the Coaches and footy dept managed the culture player behaviour & how Richardson is still in charge of the footy dept! Having Green say at the B&F that trac & Oliver are not going anywhere to this is a joke yet not a peep from Green! I feel for King but did he have a chance to sit with Trac face to face to talk?? Though I question Tracs motives to leave in particular if he’s negotiating his contracted as reported. No question Oliver should have been moved on 12mths ago..it’s just seems like another MFC balls up!

Both lied to their respective clubs .. Hardwick was having conversations with the suns & so was Trac, both selfish

Let’s not forget we are losing 400 games exp between Trac & Oliver, early picks are only good if we can use to get a exp player, if Humphries is a no & no other mid available then walk away

What a circus this has become….. it’s embarrassing both for player & club, to think 4 years ago he & Trac were part of the 3rd qtr blitz to the current state is heartbreaking & very sad! Seen some dark times with MFC and this is one of them, not defending the players but just reinforces so many poor decisions were by all which has brought us to this position. Will take a very strong King ,Guerra to clean this up along with strong leaders with the playing group to start a new chapter.

No one, all I remember is mum taking us to Coles when I was in grade 1 or 2 with my bros and we picked footy jumpers, I still have it..

I’ll m 61 and have been a member since 98 and supporter since 72, when will this footy club ever get this right, Its either off field issues with presidents, CEOs coaches or players, one ray of sunshine with great young list and yet we found a way to stuff it, like a broken record!

Unfortunately King is doing what should have been done 2 seasons ago, winning b&F,AA& flag dosent excuse you from poor behaviours which impacted on the whole team

I’m not defending the players but be careful what we wish for, losing 2 decorated experience 200 game players under 30 will impact the team, would have been good to see how they may performed under King…
