I have a simple wish. I hope we win tomorrow. Forget about finals and 2017. I can't get the image of Kreuzer strolling through centre half forward and banging one through the big sticks out of my head.

Brad hill is the weak link in the Hawks right now. Hopefully he keeps being played. They're one short with him on the field and I don't care how many premierships he's won.

Of course he's being diplomatic but there is a lot of truth to what he's saying too. Even if hes up the ground and not kicking goals, he's linking up applying pressure and adding a piece to the puzzle. He's a danger to the opposition wherever he is and that's allowing others' to come in and play their part.

I can't agree that they went after him in the way you imply. There was a tangle of bodies and Hudson came off second best. A tragic accident was all. I could have watched Hudson kick 5000 goals ( just not against us )

I was there too. 4 memories for me. 1) Hudson had a Hugh Jarse 2) Hudson kicked 8 prior to half time and might have got 20 at the rate he was going 3) Hudson was being chased by one or the other of Bourke or Biffin and tripped over the other which is how he was injured. 4) We lost the game.

I dont think anyone is glorifying his ill health or ill fortune. It was considered that he would fill a role and fit a need when we got him. In that musical chairs of player swaps, two teams haven't done too well out of it. H is a bit 'out there' but I'll bet has had a positive impact on more than a player or two at our club. We all hope for long term good health for H, or at least we all should.

I know we have back up rucks and works in progress but we need someone who could step in to the breach and perform on game day. If Spencer is not that now, will he ever be??? As Max is crashing into the biggest bodies week in week out he must be susceptible to a fair amount of fatigue. Someone has to be there to share this load. We cant afford to have Max burn out after 3 seasons on top now that he is in the top echelon of ruckmen. Lets get a potentially good second ruckman who might want a new environment.
