But the bottom sides have a greater chance to get first pick. ie Last place gets 18 lottery ticket to first pick in the draft, 17th get 17 tickets through to 1 st place 1 ticket, so the top team could get the first pick, their odds would be 170:1 It is far more likely that the bottom teams get the first pick, but no guarantee. No point to tanking.
