If losing a player to a side between 5 and 12 they get a selection immediately before the destination clubs 1st pick (prior to trades) plus compensation of 25% of the transferred players salary for the term of the initial contract-from destination club. (To be included in salary cap) 2 Sides 8 to 12 if they lose a player to a top 4 side they get a selection immediately before the destination club plus compensation of 25% of the transferred players salary for the term of the initial contract from destination club. (To be included in salary cap) 3 Top 8 side can lose a player to any club No compensation. 4 You can only get one more player in a season than you lose.
