  1. any teams who put 2nd rate defenders on him do so at their peril. this guy is 195 odd cms and 100kgs. he is an elite player of afl footy, and while past him prime putting a 2nd stringer on him will cause neitz to do some serious rag doll work with him...
  2. as i said before, i have a source (independent to yze_magics) that confirmed cousins is gone, and most likely will be bakc in the old USA next week... whether he goes preseason draft or just retires i havnt heard. and whether we take him or not is another issue. but i doubt he will be at WCE next year...
  3. :D he is starting to become a bit of a kiss of death isnt he? but only this year, since he always tips us and we lost every game lol
  4. and perhaps jmac and holland... 5 players who will be hard to replace (although yze has made it a bit easier recently). given how many we've moved on this year, if we add a couple of delistings to that next year we will have moved almost half the list in 2 seasons...
  5. good point re the 50 goals. newton should step up. i expect roobo to kick a pile as usual. it will be interesting to see where the goals come from as we now dont have a 80 goal a season forward anymore. the midfield really needs to step up on this one. if bate plays up the ground more i expect to see lots of running goals from him (up to 30 from the centre to be honest, he is that sort of player, and the on the run style suits him better than set shots). neitz provides a good strong contest. if he can trap the ball in there he will be worth a lot up forward. and remember it was his bung knee that stopped him kicking big goals last year from outside 50 towards the end...
  6. strange post as nothing has indicated he wont play on. he has said he will play another season, but has hinted at relinquishing the captaincy... neita had a poor year this year with injuries. those injuries were bad luck injuries from collisions etc, yes he is more susceptible to these now he is getting older, however it is not a chronic problem. if he has a bit of luck he could kick 50 goals next year, which is more than enough.
  7. i wish they did a 5 metre sprint, or even 3 metre sprint...i think that is as relevant as 20m sprint...and i also wouldnt mind seeing a rating on kicking distance or accuracy, but is this putting too much into draft camp?
  8. great word...
  9. we've got different sources, and both reliable. im pretty confident...(as confident as one can be of these sorts of things)
  10. i can confirm that he wont be at WC next year yze_magic. but i have heard he will be back in the US by next week and will probably retire...if i've ever trusted a source before it was this one...
  11. he is on crutches at the draft camp...
  12. it either speaks volumes for kreuzer or it speaks volumes for the standard of this draft, but if a potential ruckman can be only 28 seconds from winning the 3km time trial something is wrong. you're right freak, id expect under 10 minutes, at least from the top few. maybe they've hard a hard carnival? players are getting talked up but their fitness doesnt seem to be elite. maybe the trend this year is towards footballers not athletes?
  13. that team on its day could have competed against any all australian team of the past decade without a doubt. andrew thompson is a bit stiff for mine, but then again, where do we fit him in? great job. it shows that the afl will be poorer next year for the loss of so much talent...
  14. i actually heard that we knew he was leaving WC well before anyone else did...
  15. i cant make it for the game, but i will try and drop in and say gday around the start of the match...have to work at 3, nearby, so i can head off after...
  16. he wasnt invited this year was he?
  17. "turn up the judas priest, so i can get my gangsta groove on..."
  18. i'd much rather adcock and meesan. at least they would both imrpove our side. there is no guarantee that alwyn would do anything in the crunch. he is small, slight and i bet ya he's prone to go missing in big games. i love aaron, but one is enough...
  19. carrol didnt ahve much hope the way the ball was coming in. midfield pressure has a lot to do with how good your back line is. in the GF geelongs pressure was outstanding, port came in off the wings , they were forced to go out wide. all year we let teams run up the guts. 2 years ago we owned that corridor. what happened?
  20. are you sure any team can draft him if adelaide delist him? i thought you would still have to nominate for the draft to be drafted...
  21. if we could have anyone it would be a genuine star CHF or a solid full back. franklin, brown, glass or scarlett are my picks...prob consider a younger player rather than an older player...
  22. you can post what you like mate, but do so sensibly. its like meeting a new group of friends. dont walk in a start slagging off people who have been around for years before anyone knows who you are. you just look like a d*ck, and no one likes you. try to impress us with your footy knowledge, join in some meaningful discussions before you start acting like a [censored], and people will be more forgiving.
  23. he was senior oach at mt. g from 1997-1998. miller was drafted at the end of 2001. does anyone know how many years miller played seniors at mt.g? and is it possible that they had some contact with miller playing in the juniors?
  24. very ignorant post buddy. running from a booze bus results in worse punishments than the drink driving, not just fleeing the scene. and that 1 in 1000 thing? uve got no idea.
