  1. Im sure the order is flexible due to all sides arriving at the same time (12:15ish). Was hoping that Collingwood vs Melbourne could be up first at 1pm, and saints blues be the 1:50 start. We have 6-8 players due to work rocking up at about 1 so we need the late start or will struggle to field adequate numbers for game one. So over to you guys for the first event if your happy.
  2. Crap...this is your best ever side? You guys are considerably better then everyone else already so that's scary haha. PS Guys just had to pass on a few concerns from some of our forumites via PM's. They had some issues last time the two sides met. Now obviously competitve juices flow and that's natural with so many footballers playing. However accross the board for all four teams we need to remember the social aspect of these games and the fact it isn't life and death or as serious as playing in our local suburban footy comps etc. Some of our players are no doubt guilty of this too as are players of Carlton and Collingwood but some of our guys mentioned getting hip and shouldered to the ground after disposing of the ball, get driven hard into the ground in tackles etc. the games being played with a lot of physicality. I think all 4 sides need to remember this is for fun and no need to go out their to hurt blokes, bump them or smash them in tackles. Also abusing umpires and sledging opposition players etc. I think if we all look at it that way it would be better for everyone. People's emotions can get the better of them in competitive sport, but guys getting knocked out or spending the next week sore should be avoided:-P It is after all just a bit of fun.
  3. Hey guys. Can't believe your numbers, you certainly have taken the forum games to an all new level of professionalism Am looking at 1pm start to wrap things up arond 4ish for BBQ. Any word on Vic Park?
  4. Could make a comment about trying to get some sense out of the Pies but will leave that one alone:-P
  5. Gidday guys, Sorry for delayed response on my part. Good new concept. Looking forward to it from our end, reply might be low in posts, will get our numbers though, our regulars are yet to emerge but will.
  6. Yeah im sure the ruck injury was un-intentional...bumps and bruises are par for the course in the ruck I imagine (not that I have ever played in the ruck). But just thought I would bring it up on behalf of the bloke who raised it. No bad blood or ill feeling at our end accross the board. Just don't want blokes on either side posting like demonsam did, as it will put blokes off on both sides. Cheers gents, and see you all next time.
  7. Hi guys. Just wondering who demonsam is? He came onto our forum and fired a ridiculous broad side at us.... completely uncalled for and incredibly immature, this "you suck, where better then you" crap belongs in the school yard doesn't it? I know he was referring to a couple of the concerns I raised in regards to some conduct, but these questions always come up, and I was merely raising concerns that were brought to me by a couple of my players, something I feel obligated to do. Now you guys are professional and played the game well, in terms of spot fires there were no more then usual when competitive juices start to flow.... we were missing some talent and as a result got smashed...Yes your probably a touch more serious then us, but we aren't about to run off crying and never play again. We have been playing forum games for years and will keep doing so and hopefully one day we will beat you again... but the below post was completely uncalled for... demonsam wrote: i have never come across or heard such a bigger bunch of whingers after the game result on the weekend. you guys should just accept defeat, never in the contest actually. totally outclassed just accept defeat and reality your never going to see the trophy again. we are the better side and it never will change. why would we waste our time having a rematch unless we want another walk in the park, you guys are so pathetic and never seem to amaze me with your bitching. just like your afl team in 2009 your set for some long months ahead and no results unlike us demons who will challenge for the 8. until next time we meet I assume this poster is 12? maybe 13 years old tops....can't structure sentences, talks like a child... As I mentioned, our forums get along just fine rollo for one is a top bloke as are all the others I have met, however sad to see rubbish like that posted.
  8. Hi guys, sorry I haven't posted here much lately, im settling into a new job and been quite busy. Gosch's park is a great ground with lush grass lol, so no more grazed knees and corky's from falling over. Also a BBQ near by so thats still an option for us too.. whilst posting is slow in the thread, we had 22 at the pies game and should have that plus a couple more this time around too. you guys looking strong, gonna be a good game this one!
  9. By the way guys, I ran some laps at glenferrie oval yesterday and in my oppinion there is no way we can play a game on that venue... It is a fair bit worse then last time we played and it was ordinary then. How bout gosch's where we are playing the pies on sunday... we can report on that venue for you.
  10. Gidday guys. thread has gone quiet on SS but dont stress. someone organised a game with collingwood for this sunday, so what that has done is given us a good platform numbers wise to ensure we are fine for the 17th. roll on the cup defence!!
  11. In regards to the Gosch's Park comment, I'm never in favour of asking councils etc because they will almost always say no (public liability etc etc.). So thats why I thought it would be risky.. It's a good option and a great ground but more likely to busy then say Glenferrie or Moorabbin.... I'd love to play there, but what do ya reckon?
  12. Hi guys. Thanks for getting the ball rolling, and the thread is now on saintsational. Looking forward to it, and hopefully we can hang onto big carl for a bit longer. Any issues with venue guys? Glenferrie was rubbish last time, and are there alternatives? We thought about Gosch's park on punt road but thats a risky bet.... Would you play at Moorabbin if the opportunity was there, or do you favour remaining at glenferrie, dustbowl or not?
  13. Gidday guys. 2 points. Firstly, Saintsational is down temporarily, but should be up and running asap, but this will have no baring on the game whatsoever, so fear not. Secondly, ignore Poochy. He single handedly tried to destroy saintsational, in fact I have banned him about 7 times for constant [censored] stirring etc.. Now he is trying to destroy this thread and the relations between the sites. He is a very sad man seeking attention in any way he can get it. His life hinges on the way he is portrayed on forums like this so just ignore it and it will go away... Cheers.
  14. Hi guys. Sorry for the late reply, had a big weekend, my uni graduation, a cousins wedding, saints B and F function....still recovering. Yep that date is fine and confirmed. 2pm at Glenferrie Oval. We have an umpire provided, but if you guys have any one keen to either goal umpire or run the boundary or something that'd be good, if not we can find some of the 'support staff' on the day. The thread on our forum is taking off again. we floated before approaching you guys then brought it back up when we had a date confirmed. Good work with the enthusiasm, you guys are always the most organised of the sides and it makes life very easy. Should be a ripper. P.S....We are trying to chase up BackfromUSA on our forum who always organises the BBQ....details as they come to hand cheers. Go Sainters.
  15. so what do ya reckon.....21st or 28th? Just want to let the SS crew know...
