fwiw the 3 strike policy results in a maximum 12 games suspension, because it is OoC the charge is something to do with bringing the game is disrepute etc not drug taking. also regarding the big name player suspected of 3 strikes, ive got contacts within his management and all indications suggest its a false rumor. ok so management could cover it up too, but its a pretty good contact and i pretty much trust them...

this is exactly why i advocate picking up a KPP with your first pick IF he is good enough, and in the same league as the others available (ie luke molan wasnt just a KP he was apparently a tough KPP). there is one KPF and one KPD listed as goers for the top 7 or 8. they are harder to come by than any of the four mids who could make it...

good points. if one of the shorts is miles ahead of rance i would take the short every time. but a KPP who is good enough to go in the top 10, or top 5, is a lot rarer than a mid in the same range. i still think you are more likely to pick up a gun short or medium player with a later draft pick than you are a tall. quality talls cost more because they are rare and valuable.

i think we should use the top picks for a key back and a key forward, in that order (if we get another). we can try and find pace later in the draft because that is an issue also.

carlton wouldnt use pick 1 to draft judd, they would have to trade it for him, meaning we would still get the 3rd best kid...

messan has said he wants to come to melb and he is leaving adelaide. the psd order looks like 1.richmond 2. carlton 3. melbourne. richmond and carlton have said they are not interested (apparently). adelaide get what we offer then, or we take him in the pre season draft...

this is the bit i like the best. new coach, no favourites. if you want a game, earn it. you have one month to get your fitness back up to scratch for preseason. come back overweight or unfit and you start the season on the outer, hopefully this gives a few of the younger players a chance to make their mark.
