I have never been less excited by the prospect of watching Melbourne play.

I would like to see Jamar come in and play a role as 2nd ruck and forward. Gawn needs to be first ruck for development but Jamars good form should be rewarded and he is tall and can mark.

KC puts in a fantastic effort, providing updates and regular information on this site. He regularly answers specific questions from other posters. His efforts are appreciated by all Demonlanders except for you apparently. KC, once again, thanks for the updates.

Yeah its rubbish. If they do try it won't get past the AFLCA. He is coached and won't be getting a promotion, so unless we release him he isn't going anywhere.

I don't know this for certain but the MRI may be cheaper due to medicare rebates if it is referred by the appropriate practitioner.

Go see Webber. As someone who has seen lots of physios in my day he gets my recommendation. Knows his stuff plus you get some footy chat while waiting!
-
It should have been a free against for interfering with a player on the mark.

What was the 50 for?

I won't be tipping us. We should win. But this is classic Melbourne. I can't remember the last time that we won when we should have.

I would have liked Toump to have another run, but he has averaged 71% time on ground this year, and so is clearly a player who is still being eased into the pace. Having a first gamer (Harmes), a first game back from a hammy (AVB) and a first game back at AFL level (JKH) into the team, they may have needed to balance the planned game time as well. Anyone else we dropped would have been more like 80+%. Edit: in case anyone was wondering: http://www.footywire.com/afl/footy/tr-melbourne-demons?year=2015&rt=TA&st=TG

In some ways, I remember Roos as being a bit like Cross (when he drifts into half back, is tough and steering over head) but maybe crossed with a bit of Tom McDonald's taking the game on, definitely with better disposal. I was younger and didn't watch heaps of him so I may be wrong but that is the best "who is he like" I can think of. Jackovich was a brick wall. Nothing got past him. He was fast strong and rebounded. And he never had a third nab up to help him in one on ones. He just won them with strength.

"Probably should have kicked at least 2, in the end kicked 0.4 with one into the man on the mark. " The conditions may have played a part but i understand he is normally considered a very nice kick? Regardless I'd rather he kick none from 5 shots than one from one. He is generating chances so hopefully it comes together.

Horrible news for all involved. Not sure what to do about the game though. Cancel the game and play round 22 for 8 points? Splitting the points this week would be a bad onfield outcome for the crows who would fancy themselves for the 4 points to keep them in the hunt for a top 4 spot, and keep them another game clear of geelong. Tough situation isn't it?

Makes sense. If he was in Perth anyway and extra two days will be fine. And having him sit on a plane for the hours just to fly 3 hours back to Darwin and pointless govern he has back related hamstring issues.

It should be simple. Whistle means stop. That's all that is needed. Any tackle or action by the infringing team after the whistle immediately incurs a 50 m penalty. And all players can continue to compete until they hear the whistle so we don't get the ridiculous situation where all players stop except one who runs off.

I suppose what it really comes down to is: The risk that Jack Trengove doesn't come back from injury VS The risk that the player we would pick with our last pick in the draft is not as good as a fit Jack Trengove. Which risk is lower? I think most would agree that the known quantity that is Trengove, who is easily in our best 22, and is AFL top 8 team worthy (unlike some of our current best 22!), is a worth while reward. So therefore a direct comparison of risk is appropriate and I think we have made the right choice. It might not work but it is a similar percentage chance than the other option with potentially higher reward.

Strong midfield? Oh yeah, clearly we won't need him! And he may not be a big possession winner or a clearance machine but what he is is balanced. He can win clearances, can win the goods own ball, can get it out, can tackle, does runs hard outside, does link up, does mark overhead well for his size, will finish well going forward. Will he be our best player? No. But he does complement the other players well and due to his balance and versatility, he could be invaluable.
-
He is only 23, and is 6 months older than vandenBerg so has at least 7, maybe more, years left after this. With his foot injury he will either make a full recovery or won't. If he dies he will regain the speed etc. This isn't an injury where you lose physical attributes as a result. I hope he comes good but we haven't heard much good news lately (no news is good news?).

"If done correctly" it is medium high risk for high reward. I'm not saying we are doing it correctly. But if or payers know it is on and we set up for it defensively as well as offensively, then the risk sound be mitigated.
-
It is medium-high risk for very-high reward. The high reward is a fast break which only requires 3-4 players to push forward hard. And we can counter the risk because our players in the D50 know that when we torp, they need to hit defensive positions immediately and man up in case it rebounds back. It shouldn't be a surprise to our defenders. And the advantage is that of er do it once or twice each week, opposition will need to set up to defend it. And that means stretching their zones out further, rendering them less effective inside the D50. As long as we pick the right options with the kick ins, and don't just do it because we can it is a great change up that creates confusion and doubt because standard defensive plans need to change.

If we beat the Cats today I will ....

I reckon we are a chance from here. Don't want to put the mozz on it though.

After getting scored against, and losing the lead, scoring three in a row is amazing mental strength.

Any idea of how to stream this in sri lanka?
