  1. Standard 2 year deal that finishes this year. They'll have to make a call on Hunt. White has moved ahead of him as a rebounding half back.
  2. Really? Was injured over pre-season. Has developed nicely. Getting better every week.
  3. After all this time of having a 7 man bench named for MFC Sunday games and then having all 7 bench players named at Casey, and people still haven't worked it out????
  4. St.Kilda will bring a frenzied tackling pressure early that we must meet and be prepared for. They won't be able to sustain it. If we stay with them early we will get a chance to break the game open at some point.
  5. Without putting any pressure or expectation on I just love the way kids on our list are developing right now. James Harmes, Max King, Mitch White, Oscar McDonald are kids who are improving with game time at Casey. Billy and ANB were getting better with each game. Chrisian Salem, Angus Brayshaw, Jesse Hogan and Dean Kent look more accomplished each time they step out onto the ground. It's exciting to monitor their progress.
  6. Goals: King 5, Page 2, Spencer 2, Newton, McKenzie, Dawes, Gent, Bail Disposals: Jones 35, Bail 34, Harmes 29, Byrnes 22
  7. ANB will debut this week. Can't wait to see the kid in red and blue.
  8. No contract offer on the table for Gars from the club as yet...
  9. A good read on Christian Petracca from Ben Guthrie. (Despite the editors spelling Petracca's name wrongly in the title.) Robbie Gray sounds like a great bloke. http://www.afl.com.au/news/2015-06-08/injured-petacca-gets-power-of-support-from-robbie-gray
  10. He never played at Sandy. Debuted for Casey in 2011.
  11. He reminds me of Shane Valenti. Elite at VFL level, but doesn't have a weapon that he can impose on AFL level.
  12. Great summary mate. Sums him up to a T. The kid loves to compete, has a great tank for his age and goes all day. He'll bleed for us out there.
  13. Thanks for the reports today mate. How'd ANB look?
  14. Goals: Byrnes, Michie, Moncrieff, Morris, Muir Disposals: Morris 16, Michie 15, Tyson 15, Neal-Bullen 14
  15. Can you name a list that was as poorly managed and as weak as ours that on was 2 wins and with a percentage 55% that improved quicker than we have in an 18 month period???
  16. A lot is made of how tough Balls was, but he was also an extremely skillful player. Our halfback line in the late 80's of B.Lovett, G.Lyon and R.Grinter was the envy of all teams in the VFL. Balls could even go forward and play as lead-up forward. He was a very good footballer.
  17. Tendai would improve our midfield straight away. Hard, great link-up player. Would get a game in 15 other teams. Age counts against him but I see him as a quicker, younger version of Crossy, whom I think he could replace on our list.
  18. Damaged goods??? Some of these GWS kids experienced 100 point loss after 100 point loss over a 3-4 year period. They certainly seem to have bounced back okay. We can make all the excuses we like. At the end of the day, the overall list and some of the players on it are just not good enough at this stage.
  19. A fit and rested Tyson will make a massive difference this week. Our best clearance player. Riley will also assist at stoppages. We can't play Michie, Riley and Newton all in the one team. We are not the quickest team as it is. These 3 in at once will make us snail-like.
  20. I reckon they've already made a call on Michie. Slow, doesn't run the other away. Not great inside. Average skills at best and no hurt factor. I wouldn't expect to see a lot of him this year.
  21. So don't get excited over future prospects? Continue to look back at mistakes of the past? Do we really need to take everything so literally on here... He is a tough kid who puts his head over it. I'm not sure how high his ceiling is but he is as tough as old boots.
  22. Wins the footy and has a great left foot. Breaks the lines too. Needs to get better defensively but I think he'll be around next year.
  23. Neal-Bullen is the sort of kid who could play straight away. He's physically more advanced than his mate, Billy. He won't set the world on fire but he'll pay his way. A 150 gamer assured.
