  1. Spot on report. Not much to take from the game but was interesting to watch individuals on the outer side of the ground. Had to listen to the Casey Radio muppets to get an idea of what was going on over the grandstand side but judging by their sloppy calling doubt that they got many players right.
  2. That second half was fantastic but in all honesty I did not think you can take much away from the game as the Dolphins were little more than witches hats after half time. Very little opposition. The one thing I do find absolutely awesome is the way they played with one on the bench. They did not slow down, players just rotated themselves out of the mid field to either the back line or forward. What I like is that there must have been about 16 MFC players who ran on top of the ground all night and finished stronger than the opposition who lost one player to an arm injury in the last quarter. Says a lot about our fitness and none of them looked exhausted after the game. Quite impressive. Can't really say a lot about individuals as the lighting is not great and at my advanced years the stand side of the ground was in semi darkness. One of the Casey blokes I did like the look of was Attley (No. 15). Went alright. Enjoyed the night, scoffed 2 bacon rolls. Worth the 2 hour trip.
  3. I reckon thats why the weed dropped that chest mark. Lucky he does not have a punctured lung or busted sternum. He is a good shot at goal as well.
  4. Very unlikely. He spent a fair bit of time off the ground in the last quarter. I also noticed they took him off in the 3rd and made him do some exercises and run throughs. Looked okay when he cam on so probably just being cautious. Don't think he has the stamina to play AFL next week. Bloody good kick when he gets it.
  5. Just home from Casey. The blokes on the radio were very poor tonight. Granted it was very murky and you could barely see the other side of the ground but they were calling the wrong players all night, At one stage they called Gus 3 times and he was sitting on the bench. Bloody sad to see King go down it was right in front of me and you knew it was bad because he let out a yelp.
  6. I am predicting that neither the bombers or port are god enough to beat each other and it will be a draw. Or Port will smash them.
  7. It will be windy and cold. Probably only last until half time.
  8. But will they be there. The other reason I make the 2 hour trip to Casey. Looking forward to this game because I don't think the 1sts will be a good result. Will be there a bit early to watch McInerney. Will be in the Casey seniors very shortly. Good prospect.
  9. If you count losing by less than ten goals as rolling them I agree. Me I'll take a loss by less than 5 goals as a win.
  10. I noticed that a few media commentators have said we had 'big heads", "got ahead of ourselves", "turned up expecting to play witches hats" etc. Personally I find this hard to understand. In the cold light of day last Tuesday I watched the GWS game again. I was concerned that it was seen as a great win etc because in reality I felt we pinched the game and GWS lost it through poor kicking. Today seems to bare this out because GWS beat Geelong today through, in part by improved conversion. So to say the players got ahead of themselves is BS. I can totally understand we supporters getting excited by a win and raising our expectations. We are fans. The FD surely would have pointed out that we were fortunate last week and kept a lid on it during the week. I would hope so. Its the same with the NAB cup games. They are no indication of anything. Does anyone on here think we would beat the dogs like we did in the NAB games. How many on here reckon our disposal is better than last year? I also feel that the big head mea culpa detracts from the fact that the Bombers outplayed us significantly and even when headed in the last quarter came back. They don't seem to be as bad as the experts are saying.
  11. Thanks HB. Not surprised he did not play.
  12. You are dead right. I am watching the Bulldogs game and thinking back to the NAB cup game. We would not have gotten within 5 goals of them if the Bulldogs team of last night were playing in the NAB game. We got sucked in by the results and did not give those game their true weight. Practice matches only.
  13. Hogan has serious issues in discipline. He is like the 5 year old that does not get his way chucks the toys out of the sandpit and fumes. I would not pick him this week for discipline and let him know that is why. In a NAB cup game he missed a mark and instead of chasing he sat on the ground thumping his fist into it whilst the opposition player took it away. He should have been dragged then but he was left on the ground. Poor coaching in my opinion.
  14. Comes from Montrose EDFL. Only young but goes alright. Not enough meat on his bones . Has a twin brother who is about half his height.
  15. As long as Hogan says its okay. Would not want to be in his way.
  16. He has got the goods, strong mark noticeably in packs. Good lead. Got some ordinary delivery today. Much better than against Willy but he was not Robinson Crusoe that day. Hullet was ordinary. Needs a lot of work.
  17. Took some good grabs. Strong in packs but suffers from poor delivery. Like the look of him.
  18. Did you watch Sunday's game. Turned it over 6 out of 7 times he had it. Looks pretty raw to me. Michie got One quarter against the dogs 7 touches with 100% efficiency , 2 clearances and one goal assist.
  19. Change the title to Hubris. Getting ahead of ourselves if we think we wont be troubled by the giants.
  20. Okay 40 points might have been a bit optimistic but its only cause we sewed it up early and coasted home. And 5 posters add another 25 points.
