I thought Hullett was good today. Weid was okay but not really conditions that suited him and his game. Hullett was very good below his knees and whilst a big fella was very mobile and unphased by the conditions. Disposal lets him down at times.

Was not his greatest game but he is useful.

They moved Michie into the middle in the last. Was a real arm wrestle until this move. His pass to Hullett (who was terrific today btw) in the last qtr was brilliant. Pedo in the last quarter was courageous. Really put his body on the line. Kennedy was awesome all day. White was good and Number 1 for Casey was terrific down back. Real old fashioned footy and I thought pretty well umpired given the conditions. JKH looked like a player coming back from a layoff. Reckon Kennedy is a certain recall but no one else really stood out but the conditions made standing out very difficult. Cannot understand why they did not turn the lights on at the start. Could not see the other side of the ground in the last half of the 1st quarter. Kennedy has a natural advantage given his size and in my humble opinion would be an auto selection for days like yesterday. Bacon rolls were excellent today.

Perfect day for Michie. Pity he is not in. He absolutely loves the wet.

Firstly I was suggesting that whislt his hits had little or no impact the MRC may bow to the PC brigade an penalise him anyway. Secondly I think footballers are great at sledging and that Viney will be taunted for landing 3 or 4 whacks (open or closed handed) that did not seem faze Ebert at all. I have played in enough male sports competitions to know that the insult I used as an example will be thrown about but if it offends you or anyone else I apologise and will suggest that he has a punch like a limp lettuce leaf.

The PC brigade will say things like "Its not a good look". "Punches to the head are not what we want to see in our game" "not acceptable" and despite the low impact (thick head, no brain no pain) he will get a week at least. My concern is that they looked pretty decent and yet Ebert barely reacted. Viney hits like a girl will be resonating around MFC games for a while methinks. Jones needs to give him some boxing lessons.

No second last time. Sorry to be pedantic. Need something to lift my mood as the Shiraz aint working.

Started after the 5th minute of the 2nd. Wish it was Rosay (can't do that oomlout or spell it). Then I would be watching through Rose coloured glasses and be able to find something positive.
