And the other is on a banana skin. We are a couple of years off being a decent side yet. Recruiting has been good but development takes time.

Jamar won't be dropped but needs more support. Cross I fear has played 1 year too many. he is very slow and his disposal is not good. Think he would be better mentoring at Casey with Shannon Byrne. Happy with Grimes and Watts form. the Toump and Garland are being left behind. Pederson seems to have regressed from last year.

Gawns brain suffers from being in the stratosphere. That brain fade where he played on after marking and turned it over is a case in point. Worth persevering with though

I think Gawn and Vineys changers were up there with the best. How could you do that when the game should have been safe. they must be chained to chairs and made to watch it over and over again. Unbelievable. -
Purple you purple.

Simon Goodwin - responsible for balancing Roos defensive style with a bit of attacking flare according to the Sun. It was noticeable in the first half against the Doggies and should provide plenty for us supporters to be happy about. Nice to hear that the boys seem to really enjoy his coaching.

Thought some good signs from the whipping boys Grimes, Garland and Toumpas. Dunn was a lot better than last week. Salem is a gun. Garlett and JKH benefited by being at the feet of Hogan and Dawes. McKenzie, Bail and M Jones have reached their used by dates. Hard to fathom Terlich being given a new contract but not deemed good enough to play in the pre- season. Love Neville Jetta.

Get with the program Jeremy Howe -
I will never forget his interview after his first game when we got one of usual thrashings. He was very down on himself for not making a bigger contribution. at the time I thought this guy needs the pressure taken off him. I doubt Mark Neeld was the one to do it. Can't read to much into one short phone call but I really hope this guy relaxes and starts enjoying his footy and I hope he goes the distance with our club. He's got talent and he's got heart.

had a phone call from Jimmy to renew my membership - which I did. The interesting thing was when I complimented him on his preseason he basically was quite negative about his form. Really nice young man but down on confidence I would think and very hard on himself. A good argument for not bringing kids in too early especially when the team is struggling. Felt like giving him a big hug.

I think Brendan McCartney was very hard done by but I wouldn't be surprised if Luke Beveridge turns out to be a great coach. delighted to have Macca at the Dees though.

Also missed the easiest goal in history

He peddles idiocy- uncut

Much improved midfield but needed more than 2 goals from our talls. Can't see anything different from Bail, Matt Jones or McKenzie Rebound from backline poor because of the disposal of Grimes and Garland. Dunn had a stinker. Thought Frost and McDonald were OK. despite some errors. Loved Jettas game before he went off.
