Making Viney angry as the sub may be a good move
-
But he still contributes plenty

Exactly what they said about Nat Jones and his old man Todd. Wouldn't worry about it yet. The development people will be on to it.

Mick is only interested in Mick. His ego won't let him retire gracefully. Thank God we didn't go down that track.

Love the side picked. Plenty of fresh new faces - it really represents a point of difference from the last few years. Plenty to be excited about.

If only! I don't think there's much doubt the Suns are a couple of years in advance of us. Unfortunately that will become very clear on Saturday

Can't see any Suns leaving voluntarily with them being on the verge of finals and under Eade

Wonder if Rod Grinter is free on Saturday

I like Nathan Buckley a lot. Never shirks any issue and doesn't dish out cliches. He has every right to be devastated and to show it and have difficulty accounting for what has happened.

Relax- Demonland isn't making the decision, the football department is and we now have one of the best in the business. The past has nothing to do with it any longer.

Rohan Bails form has been disappointing this preseason so far. Any insight about where he sits in the scheme of things Saty? -
Really does make you suspicious about the timing of this news. Sets the scene beautifully for tomorrow's announcement
-
Feel very confident that our current coaching group will make the right decision. They will know when he is ready. Player management at the club is so much better now

Hope not at his old mans restaurant -
Good to have a learned orthopaedic opinion from Professor Picket. Can you fix my bunions?

No-one has a clue and I feel it's disrespectful to write Trenners off at this stage. He has every right to have hope for a good result and deserves our support in going for it.

Agree Nicho was no great shakes. I didn't bring his name up as someone to aspire to. Late in his career he played a game as a ruckman and it was embarrassingly bad. As a back man his main positive was disposal - he rarely turned it over. -

Hope they persist with Fitz. He is still young and has a lot of good attributes, both personal and football related. -

A little bit like the Alastair Nicholson story - he started life as a ruckman. -
No doubt about the Dees - they still manage to find new ways of losing. Eventhough it was only a practice game incidents like that are confidence sapping. Putting the Viney clanger aside losing to Essendons seconds does not bode well.

I think we have targeted those older types with Vandenberg, Newton, Tyson, Michie etc and to be fair the development under McCartney, Goodwin, Plapp has not yet had a chance. The signs are good with a lot of the newbies resigning.

I love Nathan Jones but I get pi$$ed off when he says stuff like last nights effort was a kick in the backside. I would have thought our arses would be still pretty battered and bruised from the last few years. better off saying it was a poor performance for which there was no excuse.
