No where near our first pick, the bloke is a massive down hill skier who can not handle the slightest tag in a game. If an "outside runner" as people are calling him cant average more than he does on the wide expanses of Subiaco then he has some issues. Would not be on my radar at all.

Well I'm proud to say I purchased my full membership this year( 1st time member) after we announced we had Roos. I live in WA - wont see a live game this year and are unable to make the annual trek to the G to cheer on the lads. Although it must be said I think I was a bad luck charm. * Smashed by the blues in the Bruise free affair * 60+ point belting on Queens Birthday. * Humiliated at home against the Bombers by 20+ goals * And our record in WA needs no explanation.

What we need is a frank and honest assessment of the players on our list. No doubt there will be some tough decisions to be made but I will back the current football department to make the right calls. I'm sure that all players will be made well aware of where they currently stand after the mid season review and what is required to stay on the list. Some will rise and some will fall well short. The following players I think are on that must lift list: Blease, Tapscott, McKenzie, Strause, Clisby, Evans , The Gone list: Brynes, Barry, Nicho, Fitz

Matt Jones is No chance of being dropped. Jetta I think will come in at Toumpas expense as Nev has the speed to stay with Ports small forward's and always seems to relish playing up there. Gawn I think should stay - his ruck work to Vince for the goal was a beautiful thing.

The scribes were right , this was a landmark case - The MFC has official turned a HUGE corner - a side and a club to be respected and dealt with integrity.

Reading yesterdays VFL player reviews it seems like you could run a pen through the careers of Blease , Tappy , Barry and even Straus.

Jack Trengove out for year with navicular fracture
Maggot 1977 replied to Arrow's topic in Melbourne Demons
This is not a curse its a blessing - a player who was horribly out of form and confidence gets to have a break and find his love and zest for football again. A great opportunity to work on his obvious deficiencies ( speed) and the added hunger and now possible upgrade for players on the rookie list is a bonus !! -
I wouldn't be surprised to see Jetta upgraded and named this week in Thursdays squad if Terlich doesn't come up. The boy is in form and I'm sure hungry for a crack

A blessing in disguise - Jetta has been our most consist performer in the 2nd all year and if Terlich doesn't come up he would be a certain starter for mine. You never flirt with form and when a player is up and about you must play him. Sad news for Jack - but if ever I player had stagnated and needed an extended break it was him. 6- 7 months of speed training might just be the ticket -
Dawes just on Ed and Derms big week in footy

Great to see the impact of one Key forward can make to our structure and game style - With the addition of Hogan as a genuine FF option I can see the beginning of something special. Nothing against the awesome job Chip did but IMO he did drop a couple of marks and loose body position that could have added another couple of scoring chance. -
The continuing saga of Melbourne's injury list - 2014
Maggot 1977 replied to alpha33's topic in Melbourne Demons
Very frustrating considering the club stated on 18th March - Col Garland (ankle) 2-3 weeks away. Af as I recall we have not been informed of any set back or problems as early as this Tuesday. -

I would still like to swap Dunn and Pederson -
Melbourne team: round fourB: Alex Georgiou, James Frawley, Lynden Dunn HB: Jack Grimes, Tom McDonald, Dean Terlich C: Jack Watts, Bernie Vince, Daniel Cross HF: Jordie McKenzie, Cameron Pedersen, Jack Viney F: Jeremy Howe, Chris Dawes, Rohan Bail FOLL: Jake Spencer, Nathan Jones, Dom Tyson I/C: Dean Kent, Jay Kennedy-Harris, Michael Evans, Matt Jones EMG: Jack Trengove, Shannon Byrnes, Daniel Nicholson IN: Chris Dawes, Jordie McKenzie OUT: Shannon Byrnes, Jack Fitzpatrick

After Roosey's comment during the week I think Terlich will stay in the side. I also believe Watts will start on a wing and Viney to start on the ground.

Would be interested to se what figure Tom McDonald was asking for ? Has a great tank and is has a dip but his disposal and decision making still need a lot of work. But is the least of our problems at the moment.

love it Goodvibes - get on the feel good train !!! Only 6.5 hrs until the squad for this weeks game is announce, always a little excitement for the day. "Difficulties break some men but make others. Jetta can not be named as he is a rookie, Shame as he seems to be in fine nick

The right up of Aidan Riley in his first game back is a good sign of something to look forward to: Aidan Riley: Aidan was as tough as nails. It was a very good first up effort. He was returning from a serious leg injury. He peeled himself off the deck from numerous contests, winning or neutralising contest after contest. He needs more time playing and training to get his fitness levels up, after such a long stint on the sidelines, but he was very impressive.
