I've been lucky, cause I moved away from the home of Aussie Rules last year & am now in the deep north where rugby rules.

Unfortunately, I subscribed to payTV before I realised that this season was going to be not at all worth watching. The MFC have some very talented players in their midst so why are the losses constant, so bad & things are just not happening.

This coach is a problem and as for all of those out there who say "we're rebuilding", etc, etc. I can't remember a team in rebuilding mode who have fared so poorly with a list of players with skill that this mob have shown. The MFC is not Carlton who have perpetually recruited badly, this is a club who made great players out of low draft picks.

What has this guy done to these players???????????????????????????

I have NEVER seen such a string of losses from this group - there is no forward line, no one to kick things to, they're fumbling all over the place. Also, I've never been so angry about watching these games, something is very clearly wrong here. And, for all you Daniher bashers, at least with Neal the team was skillful & they actually won some games with him, not constant losses of 50+ points.

Where does the problem lie - with Dean Bailey or with Paul Gardner or both? Who selected this guy? Why did the MFC in their 150th year decide to go with such a drop kick?

I'm not a happy camper and the thought of spending precious time in Melbourne when I come home to visit watching this rubbish means although I have my membership and my seat, that it's not going to happen. I'll do something positive with my time, visit an art gallery, certainly not the MCG - a place with many happy memories.

Tell that to the great executives in the MFC.

Shedemon - who is seriously angry about this coach

This is one of the more stupid posts I have ever read!

No comment.....

Can you tell me what number Dean Bailey is wearing this season??

I agree to the extent that its as if the players have hardly played the game before. What has stripped some pretty handy players of virtually all their skills and abilities?

Well 35 games ago it was Round 18 and we were on top of the ladder.... How times have changed.

Yeah, it has, the players are 2 years older and still weak at the contest and the man, it took 18 rounds for our opponents to find out, what happened after round 18???

Our poor start comes from one thing. LACK OF LEADERSHIP. Who gets the blame? Everyone at the club is to blame, We need to breed out the [censored], and add some heart into this footy club. The coach can be blamed for some of the leadership, but on match day, the players on the ground need to lead this club to war, the coach can only do so much.

I think Bails could be a good leader, and hopefully his leadership will rub off on the playing group.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
