  1. Who is this guy? Who recruited him & why do we have to live with this rubbish? Any fool can see that he has not been able to work with the playing group to get things happening. The game plan - yes, you're right - not quite sure what this is - seemed to work against geelong and GUESS WHAT - everything was OK for a week, cause the pressure eased, they did OK at Skilled. Did OK? THEY LOST BY 6 GOALS - a few years ago, this would not have been acceptable. Loosing by 6 goals at Skilled is OK at the moment, You've gotta be joking. The club has recruited a rookie coach with bugger all skill and ability to work with the players. Get real, time to get rid of him, This is embarrassing & as a North Qld'er now, I'll not be renewing my membership next year & wish that I could get a refund on this year. It's a joke. Shedemon
  2. I've been lucky, cause I moved away from the home of Aussie Rules last year & am now in the deep north where rugby rules. Unfortunately, I subscribed to payTV before I realised that this season was going to be not at all worth watching. The MFC have some very talented players in their midst so why are the losses constant, so bad & things are just not happening. This coach is a problem and as for all of those out there who say "we're rebuilding", etc, etc. I can't remember a team in rebuilding mode who have fared so poorly with a list of players with skill that this mob have shown. The MFC is not Carlton who have perpetually recruited badly, this is a club who made great players out of low draft picks. What has this guy done to these players??????????????????????????? I have NEVER seen such a string of losses from this group - there is no forward line, no one to kick things to, they're fumbling all over the place. Also, I've never been so angry about watching these games, something is very clearly wrong here. And, for all you Daniher bashers, at least with Neal the team was skillful & they actually won some games with him, not constant losses of 50+ points. Where does the problem lie - with Dean Bailey or with Paul Gardner or both? Who selected this guy? Why did the MFC in their 150th year decide to go with such a drop kick? I'm not a happy camper and the thought of spending precious time in Melbourne when I come home to visit watching this rubbish means although I have my membership and my seat, that it's not going to happen. I'll do something positive with my time, visit an art gallery, certainly not the MCG - a place with many happy memories. Tell that to the great executives in the MFC. Shedemon - who is seriously angry about this coach
  3. How about Sheedy & Voss as a "team". Unfortunately, I'm not sure Sheedy can work with others, there's the problem. On listenting to the radio today, it was reasonably clear that Sheedy is a hard man with poor communication skills with players. I love his interpretation of the rules which (I believe) are constantly being changed because of him and his promotional skills. I'd love to say to the board - get Sheedy & Voss, so there is a succession plan in place. I'm a great Voss fan, and thought we'd easily get him, but now it seems like with the choices available, I agree we're low down on the list. Other thing I love about Sheedy is his relationship and understanding of Indigenous players - he works well with them, understanding their needs & they perform for him. Any coach who cannot work well with Indig players is not worth considering. Jeff Farmer @ Melbourne & Freo quite different players. Neale Daniher did a great job in his last few years as "club marketer" and I as I sit & listen to the radio - it's Neale Daniher who was on "before the game" after his departure, Neale in the news today talking about Sheedy. It wasn't Connelly or Pagan. I'm really worried that with the "150 year" celebrations, that they will go for an "old boy". Where's Todd Viney in these discussions?
  4. I agree completely. I think Wallace's job has just taken on a new amount of "uncertainty". Perhaps someone should look at the tige's website, but I reckon that particularly now that Sheedy has gone, Wallace would be skating on thin ice. Tiger fans want Sheedy to come back "home". Interesting but media is not talking at all about Wallace's performance, but I heard ABC during the Carl v Bris game and they were scathing about Pagan, probably much the same as they were about Daniher after the Rich v Mel game (didn't hear that, was at the game) and had the radio turned off for the weekend (I was so disgusted). BTW, if Wallace is appointed to coach Mel, I would resign my membership, and will go very close if they sign Chris Connelly. I'm scared.
