In: Rivers, Moloney, Whelan, Petterd, Frawley

Out: Davey (foot), Garland ([censored]), Weetra ([censored]), Bode, McLean (needs to be taught a lesson)

Prediction?

80 point win to the Cats (im being generous here)

Edit: Newton in too if fit, for some other gimp in our team.

If Rivers, Moloney and Whelan all play the margin will be greater if just the one or 2 are brought in.

Rivers and Whelan are coming off lengthy periods out of the game and will take 2 or 3 games to adjust at AFL.

As for Moloney, Cats defenders will have a field day picking off his kicks

This game will be the first time in 15 years I have not gone to the footy when I could go. I cannot be bothered travelling an hr up the highway to pay 50 bucks for the worst seats in the house to watch another disgusting display. I have a function on with the MFC and all the players on Tuesday night, and I really don't want to go to that either.

I hate the feeling of not wanting to have anything to do with the club, but honestly, I have better things to do than watch pathetic, weak, skill-less dumb footballers who have no pride in the jumper.

Geelong supporters will be gutted if they beat us by less than 120. They made a mess of a Richmond team in a similar mire to us last season, and that was at the Dome. At Scum Stadium - their first game there since their flag - we are already on the rack. I fancy there will be some improvement this week, however.

Did they beat us by 80 point in a pratice match their this year already ?

72 points, but the team we fielded was a joke - however those that were missing on that day obviously haven't brought much to the side anyway

We're going to get mauled

Its amazing that the reigning Premiers can unleash yet another young key position defender as if from nowhere (Taylor)

Meanwhile , we are stuck with Miller and Carroll

Probably not, but at least Geelong will show the Demons what the word "courage" means.

Gonna point out one moment in the Cats/Dons game today.

scores are 80 odd to 20 something, Geelong player kicks the ball over the top of Matty Stokes (just about the smallest bloke going around) who backs back and gets all 100+kilos of Mal Michael crashing into his back yet never for a split second flinches or takes his eyes off the ball. Obviously hurting from the incident he gets back up almost straight away, and instead of moping around feeling sorry for himself, goes and lays a shepherd for Gary Ablett and gets put on his arse again by Henry Slattery. Once again doesn't shirk the issue or lay there rolling around on the ground after he's copped the hit.

Take note Demons

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs West Coast

It’s game day and the Demons return to Melbourne to play the Eagles at the MCG for the first time in over a decade. A win keeps the Dees finals hopes alive whereas a loss will almost certainly slam the finals window shut.

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well
