These guys are supposed to be leaders?

Well they are leading Melbourne into oblivion. They have no heart, no desire or will to do what it takes to be a successful AFL footballers.

Bruce - Years of inconsistent crap

White - Had a few good years, but isnt hard enough - looks for cheap possesions

Yze - HACK HACK HACK

Miller - SUPERHACK

Carrol - Bogan stupid drunk idiot

Robertson - too concerned with a reality singing show to give a stuff about his football club.

Every game new kids play with these rubbish players they are contaminating a future generation of Melbourne players.

Draw a fkn line in the sand - no more accepted mediocrity - Get these hacks out of the side and dont let them back in.

Whats the point of playing them??? have they earned the right to live out the twighlight of their careers getting a game each week while producing rubbish?

No.. only 2 players on Melbournes list have earned the right to be the example for the next generation J-MAC and Neitz.

FK the rest of the pea hearts off. Johnstone was the start - these guys are next.

Couldn't agree more.....the strength that will come from this list is McLean, Bate, Dunn, Morton, Bartram etc...they should have traded at least 1 more last summer

Its a joke that Bruce wasnt traded

We could have grabbed another first round pick, but now we are stuck with this squib instead.

Just think, we could have Cyril Rioli.

Bruce is coming off a knee injury. I was one of 12.000 Melbourne supporters who attended. I sat one row back near the players race and Bruce was obviously one MFC rep who knew what he was doing and tried and has what it takes. He is a skinny prik, he has a motor, he made mistakes but I'm afraid mistakes were made in Biblical proportions from selection on. I was nailing Green for being disinterested in the first half but then he runs on, into 50 and slots a sublime goal as easy as you like. At that moment I realized (as I have since the classic comeback against Carlton many years back, that Green is being played out of position. He is every bit the player that Williams (Hawks) is in the same position. Robbo is keeping him out of the forward line and I am over Robbo.

PJ took that mark 55 metres out and he should have had a shot in the first quarter. Yze ran past, called for the ball, received it, and then kicked a wobbly shocker into the forward line.

that for me sums up the latter part of his career. I do not want to see him in a MFC jumper for the rest of the year.

If Yze gets another game for this football club, i lose ANY FAITH i have in Dean Bailey.

He is OLD, a HACK and a SQUIB. - he should be immediatly dumped from the list, promote a kid.. hes just a waste of space and oxygen at the club.

Miller is fkn useless... when will the club learn?, 5 years now hes done NOTHING - MOVE ON. DELIST DELIST DELIST.

White & Bruce should be on their last chances, and Carroll, well what can he do vs Franklin and a team that didnt give a stuff about pressuring the midfield delivery.

These blokes are contiminating our future... they carry the mediocrity disease and its very INFECTIOUS.

I agree on all, If green is to oplay he has to be played as a forward, from the square.

Miller is not a backman, simple.

Yze = bye

Bruce....... I love the guy but he seems out of it, but I'll give him a few weeks, still can't kick though

robbo, needs to do the simple things.

White, PJ showed him how to chase, tackle, get possessions and create things, pity pj is not that great a ruckman.

I'd add wheatley to this list, showed nothing yesterday and against decent opposition i think will be beaten every time.

Only 21 more crappy weeks to go. It's going to be a long season ladies and gentleman.

You know it's going to be a long season when you walk away from the tv at quarter time to see how your fantasy football team's going (I came back for the second half - but only to see if Jones, Green and Wheatley are worth keeping...

Green's a friggin forward... we might have been a little more respectable yesterday (i.e. 80 points not 100) if we'd damn well kicked straight. Green can bloody well kick a goal from 50 - he's useless on the wing.

I think Bruce is just underdone ATM. He will be ok in a few more weeks.

Unfortunately Yze may have to hang his boots up during the season to allow Aussie to get a spot on the list. The game has passed by the once magical ooze.

White will be on the list next year but he will play a support role rather than the main role.

Holland will go at the end of this season. Neitz should also consider finishing up - Newton needs to put on another 3 - 4 kegs.

We used to recruit to supplement these players now we draft to replace them.

We need a 196cm backman to pick up the monsters - maybe Martin can be developed.

Sadly to pick up the class players you need to HAVE 2 craap years in a row - for cash strapped clubs who cannot afford to throw money at recruiting that is a fact. I think we might need that guy from Fiji who they say could be the best no 1 pick ever - and lets face it we need a player who can put bums on seats at the G - PLUS OF COURSE ANOTHER EARLY PICK.

We have to have some years down to make up for the 3 consecutive years of bottom half of the top 8 (04-06). By no means should we aim for a crap year, but at least if it happens we will have some good young players.

By the way, between 2000 and 2006, did you know that we were the best performed club in terms of finals appearances (only didn't make it in 01 and 03). That's 5 out of 7 years. This was rivalled only by Essendon.

    TRAINING: Monday 20th January 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
