Congratulations again to the Brown Dog who tried his guts out yet again in his final game.

As noted by the commentators there was one passage in front of the MCC Members when he threw himself on the ball twice and prevented the Blues gettig clear possession.

Nathan couldnt tank if he tried!!

A great guy and terrific clubman & will be missed around the place. I am sure he has influenced our young guns by showing how to do your best!

Great way to go out. Was good to be able to send all 3 guys off from the G.

It was like he was touched by the hand of god when he kicked that goal.

It was classic to watch & to see his face after he kicked it, you could tell that's the way he wanted to go out.

Should of heard him getting interviewed on SEN after the game. Was classic. Was making jokes and picking on Billy Brownless (interviewing) because the lid is off.

Said he went for Geelong as a boy and Dermie said, "well you can get back on the cats now browny" to which doggy replied "No way mate, im a demon through and through"

Also had a laugh about how he is gonna become a fireman.

I think that is the single highlight of the year (along with Juice's towering mark) for me. He dashed forward earlier in the first quarter, frantically waving for the footy to be kicked to him, but I think it was Robbo didnt see him. As soon as he swooped on that half forward line, you knew it was his destiny to kick that goal. His celebrations showed what playing the game and representing the Dees meant to him, a true inspiration. Thanks for the memories, Brown Dog!

He is the sort of bloke that footy clubs love to have.

From his debut at Optus Oval wearing the 41 jumper with a blonde pony tail - his guts and irresponsibility for his body was evident and immediately became a favourite.

Unfortunatley he suffered numerous soft tissue injuries throughout his career.

Browny gave so much, his effort was second to none and also his passion for the red and blue over his time was on show each week.

I certainly gave a loud cheer when he made his first walk around the boundary and he nearly looked embarrassed at the crowd cheering because he was just a little back pocket!

When he kicks a goal, you know about it and when we were playing well, all players wanted to celebrate a goal and this was the passion we have been lacking!!

    UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

    Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft.     Demonland Trackwatchers ventured down to Gosch's Paddock for the final week of training for the 1st to 4th Years until they are joined by the rest of the senior squad for Preseason Training Camp in Mansfield next week.
