& maybe like many other posts on here apologising for their critiques of certain players we give him a bit of a chop out & a bit more of a sample size.

The Laurie thing, at least for me, is the fact that on a game in which we saw an All team effort, he didn't show enough.

It may be that he was good for the Goodwin system. Would he be that for this new system?

Yeah, much as I wish otherwise, I think Bill just doesn't get enough touches. He's had a few chances. He was involved more than his stat's indicate, but was he more involved that a Rivers or Fritsch or even XT or Tommy Matthews? Ultimately he just doesn't get his hands on the ball often enough for a guy who's game is all about kicking skills.

He certainly wasn't good for the 'Goodwin system'. Twelve games in 5 seasons are testimony to that.

As I've said ad nauseum, Laurie has no point of difference. No size, average skills, doesn't kick goals, not a strong tackler.

Contrast him to Tom Matthews, who, from all reports, looks to have far more upside than Laurie.

GCS - Strange fake club

Given the ‘accolade’ “nepo babies” (Lyon 2025). With the new AFL approved livery of the sunshine from Uranus. One could imagine the want for a harder edge eg. Fuchsias to Demons.

GCV - Gold Coast Vampires

After all they’re sucking the blood 🩸 out of the competition.

My 3 word analysis of you old Dee

Always a negative

You see that is a big disagreement. I was just making the observation that I didn't see him and you see that as a negative. I guess you are in the negative hunter moda.

Always negative, but oh so true, I think it's bill last chance, he had his chance and he blow it

What kicking skills went at 43%

Kinda feel sorry for him, hope he’s invested his money wisely because he won’t be getting $400k next year

How much is he getting this year?

It's why he was drafted. When we got him and Bowey, JT said we had the two best kicks in the draft.

Watching different game

Kozzie was like a rapier, you don’t realize you’ve had a dozen holes poked in you.

I also think you need to watch Windsor and Langdon again ther were better than you give them credit for.

Far off the mark with Kossie mate. He absolutely dominated today.

K Pickett - fun and dangerous

L Pickett - fun and dangerous

I actually think half their value is not in what they do, it's in the potential of what they do - oppositions panic when they get near it, Koz especially, but Latrelle looms as just as dangerous with some more time.

  • REPORT: Richmond

It seemed as if the whole purpose of the Anzac Eve clash at the MCG between the Demons and the Tigers was building toward that single, unforgettable moment when Kozzie Pickett soared above Campbell Gray and all but fittingly etched his name onto the face of the 2026 Frank ‘Checker’ Hughes Medal.
