Yeah that too. He should be in the twos with a game like that last night. They are a genuine chance for the spoon, when was the last time for them?

The spoon = #1 draft pick so there isn't the stigma attached these days, DZ. But for those who can't stand Essendon, it is still a thing

Bombers went close in 2006 ... but the Bryce Gibbs cup resulted in a draw (?)

Peptides last ‘won’ the spoon when they were using all the top up players (and still beat us) in Oliver’s debut season

Parish was fantastic for them that day

From memory the only teams they beat were us and the baggers

They then were gifted #1 pick in the draft and used it on their now skipper, Andy McGrath, in what in retrospect looks like a pretty weak draft year, although McLuggage at #3 is an out and out superstar and Tom Stewart at #40 is the best player picked

Swear the players we ‘target’ in the draft and then miss out on turn out better than the ones we get, Georgiades would be handy right now…

WC only down by 3!

They are no longer a basket case.

Bo Allen looks like a good selection. I think we considered him in 2024

Jobe Shanahan looks very likely too. Great set of hands on him.

Is it time to start hating West Coast again.

Almost, but only against an average Port today.

You can see they have some good young talent though.

If they hold them and build a bit more then '@Pennant St Dee ' in particular is not going to be a happy man.

Just noticed in stats sheets that Cooper Duff-Tytler is being abbreviated as 'Cooper D Tytler'. So I guess we know who is going to be the King of the Pirates one day.
