Back now

pretty amateurish, someone kicked out the plug, and they don't even know. Could have invited some budding commentators to call the game as well, but

Blues one way traffic 5 goals to one

Was that Matthews who scored white team’s only goal?

I know its Team A attack vs Team B defence, but it's actually refreshing to see us hit some targets inside 50

Loving the Blue team's deep switch, working well.

I think they are going to have to change it up... whites not competitive enough - not a great sign for depth.

Blues are obviously the 1st pick side. It's a bit hard to judge the worth when the Whites have no forward or defenders.

howes over taylor in blue 🤮

Geez Jefferson and Van Rooyen have been impressive..

Blue team clearly our 1st team atm. JVR, Jeffo and Mihocek working well together.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
