Everyone looks better in the red and blue

Hmm, I have thought for a long time that our blue and red makes us look slimmer that other playing strips. I have never liked it to be honest. Compare that to Geelong's horizontal jumpers and we look a bunch of little brothers playing their big brothers. Our traditional jumper is much better not that we see it very often these days.

McAdam does look stronger than I can recall.

That's a rather personal question, Kev.

My doc told me I could have a stroke at any time

So that's my afternoon planned

Is McAdam into full training now? How’s he moving and how’s the confidence/self belief holding up?

According to Wheels Shane is as confident as he was before he went down. He’s in a “great headspace.” This was confirmed by Jeremiah, Shane’s uncle who occasionally comes to Gosch’s.

I know photos can sometimes distort reality, but if Tom Matthews (that’s him at bottom right, yes?), is only half the physique he seems to have in that photo, then he is going to be a lethal weapon!

What happened to the traditional blue with red V jumper? I guess they could train in T-shirts but I wouldn't have guessed the above jumpers would be first choice.

It's funny. The physique screams out man but it also almost looks like "look Mummy, I'm driving"! 😂

These are their training tops. They also have the same top but in reverse, ie. predominantly blue. I reckon they look great.

Today in our DA WhatsApp chat we were throwing around ideas for new handheld banners/signs etc. for next season. I think this is perfect…

Okay, I cant say I agree. I'm not sure why we need more than the traditional, the away and the indigenous jumpers.

They look sensational

The players are out on the track. AMW doing rehab with the trainers. Viney and Matthew’s doing rehab walking up and down steps with some black mouth pieces on. Looks very odd.

… and the ANZAC jumper.

I agree there are too many jumpers, especially when the non-traditional ones change every year. I was at Fritta’s house once when he wasn’t home - not weird, I was with his mum. She slid open a wardrobe door; it was a sight to behold. There must’ve been 50-60 jumpers all with #31 neatly hanging in order. Too many!

  • GAMEDAY: Richmond

It's Game Day on Friday night. ANZAC Eve. The big stage at the ‘G. The Demons return to the spotlight for one of our most significant nights on the football calendar, taking on the Tigers in a clash that always carries extra weight given the gravity of occasion of the commemoration of the ANZAC Spirit. Under the lights, in front of a packed house, this is where moments are made. Can the Dees rise to the occasion and deliver on the big stage, or will Richmond spoil the night? All the build-up, discussion, and in-game reactions here. Go Dees.

  • NON-MFC: Round 7

Round 7 is here, with the ANZAC commemoration games taking centre stage. Who are you tipping this week, and which results would be most favourable for the Demons?

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

Who would have imagined, when the season kicked off early last month, that Melbourne would emerge from the opening six weeks with wins over both Queensland powerhouses? At the time, Gold Coast and Brisbane were the competition’s early pace-setters, the flavours of the month, and the prospect of the Demons toppling both within the course of a fortnight seemed remote. Yet here they are, banking those scalps alongside home victories over two traditional Victorian rivals and building a quietly impressive resume.

  • REPORT: Brisbane

Before Sunday, the last time the Brisbane Lions had walked onto the turf of the Melbourne Cricket Ground, they celebrated the pinnacle of the sport - an AFL premiership secured in emphatic fashion for the second consecutive year.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

From the outset, the Casey Demons lacked any spring in their steps. They were out-hustled and out-bustled and finally outplayed by the Brisbane Lions by 38 points on their home turf in perfect conditions at Casey Fields.
