Eagles want CDT

Yes, but they could be tempted to go for more high end talent, in particualr a local who won't be there at pick 13 (or whatever it becomes). 1, 5, 6 & 13 is a very handy reset, with additional asset for next year. Something like 2, 34, 41 (2026 4th) for 5, 6 & 2026 2nd. Essedon then could trade a combination of their picks to Cartlon for 11. West Coast then have 4 high end players, rather than 3.

Confused Looking For GIF by Looney Tunes

From AFL website: A reminder that Cal Twomey's famous Phantom Draft will drop later tonight.

So it might be a little later this year.

  1. WCE - Duursma

  2. GCS - Uwland (matching WCE's bid)

  3. CAR - Dean (matching WCE's bid)

  4. WCE - CDT

This would be elite shenanigans from WCE, effectively making Carlton burn an extra first round pick to match the bid for Dean (compared to if he fell to our pick)

The reason Carlton are trading the picks out is that WC have likely signalled they are serious about bidding that high. The shenanigans will be if they don't bid now.

Farrow and Nairn according to Twomey.

Cumming and Robey to the Tigers.

X Taylor and Sharp to Essendon with the two picks before ours.

No surprises at the top.

I’m happy with that. Fox footy compares Farrow to Jordan Dawson, can play off half back and midfield, decent kick.

Most importantly is versatile, we love versatility

lacks a proper x factor type at one of our picks (probably an unfair statement on Nairn)

I’ve said it before but I just feel that talent drops off significantly just as our picks begin

Very much hope to be proven wrong

Please let us pick from either Taylor or Farrow. I think they have the highest upside of those left available in the top 10 with some high upside for various roles down the line and both could make an impact right away.

If Essendon opt to go Taylor/Farrow with their first picks I will be so disappointed. I can see this happening as they know we're not going to pick Sharp so they can grab him with Carlton's pick.

If this happens, I get the sense that the next group of players that we would be picking from are a bit of a drop off in in terms of potential (Dovastan, Schubert, Phillipou, Lindsay etc.)

I hope we attempted to trade our first pick and gold coast's F1, for one of Richmond's picks and a future second/third.

That way we could guarantee getting one of Robey, X Taylor and Cumming.

Then use our second pick for Nairn since we are so keen on him.

Gold Coast's F1 will be a late teens pick next year anyway.

I think Essendon would be worried about another club offering us a good deal to take Sharp

Adelaide could offer 16 and a future first for example - we might not say no to that

Praying that is true and will force them to pick Sharp.

Richmond picking Cumming has worked in our favour with Essendon having to ensure they pick the next best mid in Sharp.

Grlj to Hawks at #14 would be very annoying

Reckon Dovaston, Lindsay, Grlj, Pickett, O Taylor is an exciting group all projected to go after our picks. We just really love Nairn, and rate Farrow higher than those guys. At least according to Cal.
