The wicked witch of the west didn't like water

Maybe that explains Watson's 4 touches

And look now! All those Hawthorn members sitting in the rain watching their team get spanked.

Footy is the gift that keeps on giving.

Yeah…. YEAH!!!! Lots of see you next Tuesdays have to feel pain! Thank you

Dangerfield has been incredible tonight. We lack strong leaders like him on field who can just impose themselves physically. Viney was that player years ago, but those days are long gone.

Why TF did the Hawks trade a 30yo Gunston to the Lions (for pick 48)?

So bizarre

For all this talk of "modern footy", contest Is still king.

Hope we don't over adjust to a game style that doesn't stand up in finals and is already on the way out IMO.

Does Max Gawn play badminton?

I remember him kicking 6 in a prelim

Ginivan, worpel, sicily, jiath, and watson HOPELESS

Like Danger, if we play finals, you'll see that manic Viney again. Some blokes just love finals

Considering who the midfield coach of Geelong is, I reckon we are safe 👌

Contest is always king in finals

Geelongs composure with ball in hand shows how pathetic Melbourne has been.

It's been first class.

Hopefully king will free our players up to be more instinctive and play with flair

That was four years ago now sadly. We are lacking now that Trac, Clarrys and Viney aren't able to I lose anymore.

Am I wrong to be laughing at the thought of Steven King going from a potential Geelong premiership to having to teach Harry Sharp how to play football 😂😂😂

It's the small wins:

B. Smith has a free and the cat supporting son (sorry) predicts it will go to a hawk.

TRIH

You dropped the ball there, dad

Max is still a colossal

But yes we need much more from everyone else

Not sure freeing up players to be more instinctive will increase our composure

You either have composure with the ball or you don't

It's OK we've got Petracca cooking Burgers for Curnow and stealing all the games consoles in Cash converters. Priorities.

Just under 100,000 people at this game. That’s huge. I reckon that’s more than what tomorrow’s game will get.

I believe his father died and he wanted a change of scenery etc then realised he wanted to be at home 12 months later. Probably fair enough tbh

I'm not sure he's capable anymore. He's just had another baby so he'll be lucky to even get sleep and make it to training at this point!

I hate this

Meh. I'm just waiting to watch the highlights from a couple of 2018 finals (after which my memory gets a bit fuzzy)

that's the game

i'm glad the hawks lost cos i can't stand them

Tune in tomorrow when Trac and Merrett cook up a steak to take to Sam Mitchell’s house for dinner

  • REPORT: Carlton

The text messages started flooding in shortly after quarter time. One read: “Is Melbourne even at the ground?” Moments later, as Carlton’s Elijah Hollands kicked the first goal of the second term, the Blues held a commanding 43-point lead. By then, the Demons’ only score was a behind kicked by Brody Mihocek nearly five minutes into the game. Ironically, Mihocek would also register the last minor score of the day after the game took a dramatic turnaround.
