Fullarton’s field kicking leaves a lot to be desired and that’s being nice.

Casey have gone from 8.1 to 15.13

Disappointing kicking since quarter time.

it's a real worry - three pre-seasons and he simply runs out of puff shortly after half time at afl level, and by 3/4 time at vfl level

This is his 3rd season, from my memory he had an uninterrupted preseason. He simply isn't a Senior level player. Nothing can be judged about his form today. He is playing against poor backs at VFL level.

We can't kick them from straight in front, but we can slot them from the boundary!

Sharp kicks his fourth

Casey appear to have taken the foot of the pedal.

Zebras getting some junk time goals.

Casey misfiring in front of goal.

Mitch Hardie uncharacteristic miss.

Kynan Brown a smart little player.

Sharpie’s fourth!!!!

Verrell kicks Casey's 17th goal of the afternoon

If you look at Jefferson’s scouting reports - he has always had days where he has kicked 2.5 and then 5.2 the next week.

If you are looking for reasons to write off Kolt and Jefferson, you can do that today. Easily you could also make an argument that the skills they showed today would translate to 200 game afl players.

Sharp putting his hand up with his fourth goal.

KC he has played numerous games for the Lions and they let him go. He has had a number of senior games this year. He is a VFL standard player nothing more nothing less.

Fullerton's had a dirty second half in defence

Great followup tackle by Luker that resulted in Sharp’s fifth goal.

sharp gets to the right spots to impact i50

wouldn't hurt to try him as a small forward rotation with chandler in the afl

Casey 18.15.123
Sandringham 9.6.60

best half dozen for mine...

duursma will be a serious talent based on his first vfl performance

You can do that if you don’t give handballs when they are there

He definitely burnt a few team-mates with a couple of his goals.

Siren sounds and that’s the ball game.

This was another commanding display by the Demons, who will enjoy a bye next week before facing a couple of tough challenges. Although they are not yet guaranteed a finals spot, and may regret a few narrow defeats at the hands of lower-ranked teams a few weeks ago, they remain well-placed to secure a wildcard game next month. For now, it’s a matter of observing how the other contenders perform next week.

Clueless statement. He has been dreadfully managed this year to his own detriment & that of the team. And he's not the only one managed poorly.

I’ve heard this side over and over, can you flip the record and give us a listen to your B side,

Yeah, definitely not writing Jeffo off at all.

I think it's insane he got dropped instead of letting him have a run with JVR in the seniors to try and find a rhythm together.

It just struck me as reflective of our kicking and skills across the whole group.

A great pack mark and then a total lack of concentration and technique to put your head over the ball and drill a drop punt from 30 out.

It sums up our season. Loads of effort and then puss poor execution.

It drives me mad, I wanted to see the lad kick 6 today. He should be given a good run in the seniors.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Essendon

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven May

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.
