GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs Adelaide

Featured Replies

Contest behind the ball has been amazing. Front half has been pretty abysmal from the middle of that second qtr.

Not winning a center clearance is killing us because we can't set the ground up.

For the first 10 mins, we made great decisions and used it well, stuck to the plan.

Somewhere it changed, I'm saying we look gassed because its the only explanation. We hardly laid a tackle for the latter part of that quarter.

Almost double the uncontested ball, we are sticking to the plan well, but the worry is the moment Adelaide dialed the pressure up we didn't go with it.

Looks like a young team that drifts in and out. At least we have the lead.

Not fit enough to play the uncontested game

I really do wonder about the way we play out of the back half.

We almost always go back and all the way around the boundary on the opposite side.

It's a really big slow switch with loads of long running to only get from one half back flank to the exact spot on the other side where we then kick to a contest.

Lots of running into space but no-one really wants to take the corridor and go direct.

Is it game plan or a lack of confidence that we can thread the needle with accurate kicking.

Anyways we're in it through better goal kicking.

Hoping for a great finish, if we're fit enough

Can somebody te Jeffo to get the [censored] out of 2nd gear?

What was the difference in the first 12 minutes? Pickett in the middle. What then happened Viney went in. When will we learn.

We also started to play too safe and slow out of half back after making a few blues. They just need to keep backing themselves and go again.

And Fritta too

You’re no hall of famer Trac.

I know these threads are always hostile but that’s a bit much, no?

Norm Smith medal, 4xAA, champion of the club. Will give the hall of fame a real shake.

I’m sure the panel will forgive him being tackled by Rory Laird once in a meaningless H&A game that time.

Didn't get much from Oliver in the second.

May been great. Lever good.

He's been tagging Dawson extremely well.

We were well on top mostly due to Tracca and Kozzie who unfortunately went very quiet for much of the second half of the second.

Was KP taken off?

Our pressure and skills dropped right off.

Need much more from Sparrow and Oliver.

Thanks for that.

I would rather he just play as a ball getter.

Could be better but also could be worse, guess the positive is at least we are ahead

Up to Half Time:

Set shots 11

Goals 4

Behinds 5

Out on the full 2

Now do the crows for comparison

Despite the usual poor goal kicking which finally tightened and our fade away still a great effort to be leading against a top four team.

Our best is good enough which is hard to fathom at times.

It’s always the difference between best and worst that determine who is playing finals and who doesn’t

You're right Brownie, always seems instinctive to take the outer side. Hopefully we can take a few more risks through the middle.

A quarter of 2 halfs. The first half followed by the second half.

Prosaic, but true. 😀

Jefferson had a exciting moment 15 seconds into his first game. I haven't seen anything exciting since.

Really disappointing.

And has delivered zero finals wins in four years.

Is he being tagged? 😀

Well let's see how we go here.

I'm actually tipping a win today

Max has actually been quiet so if he lifts who knows.

KP and Tracca to dominate again.
