This is a deplorable effort at stoppages, midfield should hang their heads in shame, absolutely pathetic insipid effort.

When your stoppage coach has never coached a day in his life, what do you expect?

One of the most ridiculous coaching appointments in recent memory.

How an earth did we manage to beat Brisbane & lose to the pies by only a point

Not mentally tough enough. Can only play at top level sporadically

I'm beginning to think our midfield is our issue

Welcome to the reality bus.

Oliver, Viney, Tracc, Salem, Sparrow, Fritsch at high half forward are the problems. Rivers not a mid a problem too.

GCS midfield makes ours look like little league.

Is Kozzie injured?

Genuine question. I haven't watched all the game but haven't sighted him lately.

I don't question Oliver's work rate but his disposal is at best.....very ordinary. He just seems really anxious to get rid of it and turns it over way too often. Undoes all his effort.

Sharp is a waste of space, Windsor and Lever should be in, the coach and his collection committee are [censored], get rid of them, NOW!!

May blocked. All OK it seems.

Non decision made worse by the fact kings hands were out in a shepherding motion

Tracs had 24 possessions. I can't think of to many that have been good

Surprised he has had that many…

Bowey the only player who should be allowed to kick a football.

Rivers has lost the plot. We’ve ruined another promising kid.

[censored] these nepo babies

The Footy Academy might finally play finals after 15 years

Cleanout the entire Football Department, starting on Monday Morning

They have trashed what was built in ‘21

How fast have we gone from a really good competitive team, to an insipid one.

We are horrible to watch. No skills, effort that we turn on and off like a tap, and absolutely mind boggling game plan.

Kosi is the only player in this team that I enjoy watching. Everyone else is either unskilled or a non entity.

Salem plays like a semi retired player.

I'm surprised how little criticism he gets on here. Week as [censored] and pathetic role model for the young blokes.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

  • CASEY: Sandringham

The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom Campbell with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprentice Will Verrall who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.

The Demons return to the scene of the crime on Saturday to face the wooden spooners the Eagles at the Docklands. Who comes in and who goes out? Like moving deck chairs on the Titanic.

It's Game Day and there are only 5 games to go. Can the Demons find some consistency and form as they stagger towards the finish line of another uninspiring season?
