Andyโ€™s little sister here ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ longtime listener of the pod.

Dusting off the old Demonland password just to say that if youโ€™ve ever sat next to Andy at the footy when Melbourne is losing, that colourful rant was nothing ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

The last time you sat next to me at the footy was the 2000 Grand Final.

ย

Good quality rant there Andy. Don't agree with it all, but loved the passion

Whilst I agree with most views and disagree with other views expressed โ€ฆ

love the anger

love the discussion

love the passion

Great show again ๐Ÿ‘

Indeed, the Pod was our companion, while driving from Adelaide back to Canberra, following the gut wrenching disappointment of Gather Round.

As always, I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the show, but perhaps even more so this week. Notably:

  • the Panelโ€™s โ€˜no holds barredโ€™ assessment of our performance against Essendon, and the total lack of transparency by OUR club towards its members and supporters. It hurts enormously, but these things needed to be said!

  • your unbridled and heartfelt passion for โ€œthe team we loveโ€, and your anger with what has been dished up, both on and off the field, since the end of last season.

I can only hope that somebody with โ€˜authorityโ€™ at the Club tunes in, and takes note.

Great work guys. Thank you!

I think I like angry Andy ๐Ÿคญ

Apologies for the blue language.

More of it!

Andy got ANGRY โ€ฆ actually he was quite tame compared with some conversations Iโ€™ve had with fellow Demon supporters (sufferers) in the last few days.

Getting kicked in the media and by workmates is not fun !!!

ย

Logging back on for the first time in ages just to say I bloody loved that angry rant from Andy. I was cracking up in the car, sensational.

Give us a glimmer of that passion from absolutely anywhere within the club.

Love the pod, boys. Thanks for fronting up each week.

I liked angry Andy! ๐Ÿ˜

Listening to a Demonland podcast, win or lose, is always great.

But I am also very passionate at the football and I love it when I hear that passion in fellow Demons supporters too! โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’™

Expressed perfectly how we are all feeling about the club... please send it in to them and put a rocket up em' not acceptable from the board down.

Just not professional enough

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFLโ€™s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.ย

Iโ€™ll be away for the next few weeks, so Binman will be holding the fort for our podcasts covering the Suns, Bombers and Lions matches. As a result, there will be no live podcasts during this period, and we wonโ€™t be taking calls or voicemails. Binman will still be dipping into this thread to select a few questions to answer, while also combining the long-form Stats Files podcast with the Demonland Podcast for these shows. Your questions and comments are a huge part of what makes the podcast work, so please post anything youโ€™d like to ask or say below and weโ€™ll do our best to give you a shout-out on the show. Please try to keep each post focused on one specific topic or player to make podcast preparation a little easier. If you have multiple topics youโ€™d like to raise, please put them in separate posts.
