if someone signs a contract and hides it in safe, was it ever really signed?

Schrödinger’s contract

Do you read posts before commenting? Clearly you don’t because if you did you’d know that I asked him ONCE about his contract, and any and all subsequent discussions have been brought up by HIM, ie. NOT me. Understand now? Or need I say it another bazillion times.

Posters like you and @Ethan Tremblay (who said if he was a player and a fan was hassling him he’d say anything to shut them up) are not only rude but also clueless. Do you really think I’d be made to feel so welcome by everyone at the club if I was hassling anyone? Think about it. No, I wouldn’t be.

Ugh I can’t believe I’m yet again doing this.

Because of people like you and your ilk I’ll never again share anything I know that’s yet to become public knowledge.

PS: don’t forget to (sarcastic) laugh emoji this post just as you add to pretty much everything I say.

PPS: DannyZ never berates posters who question the validity of his info because no one ever does question the validity of his info. Simples.

Apologies GW, my tongue was firmly planted in my cheek. I assumed by your initial response that you knew I was just having a laugh.

I initially did respond with humour, knowing that you didn’t intend to offend. But when that other poster chimed in with a similar sentiment, (except he was intentionally offensive) I tarred you with the same brush and I ought not have.

Apologies accepted and likewise please accept mine 🙂

edit: I still take issue with you lumping me in the same basket as Fence though. So not cool 😁

If you’re buying a house in NSW the contract to buy the house is not (effectively) executed until signed copies are exchanged. I can sign a copy of a contract to sell my house but until I tell the conveyancer / solicitor to exchange signed copies, it is not executed

Similarly, in commercial contracts, at least those I’ve been involved in, a vendor can sign a contract to procure their services but it is not executed until the procurer signs/witnesses and sends a signed copy

It was based on the above I made the comment

Now I'm really confused. I live in Sydney and would like to know more about this strange concept of 'buying a house in NSW'. Perhaps a quaint tradition that is still carried on in rural areas? Crocheting, climbing trees, giving way to pedestrians and buying a house - the classic elements of the bucolic lifestyle.

I just realised McVee is waiting to reveal his contract until the right moment to propose.

"Will you marry me and my incentive-based 600k a year for four years?"

I'm actually semi-serious and will be expecting prizes and acclaim if I've picked it.

Not sure if it's really a sign of anything but just saw Judd Mcvee at the aflw fees pies game, sporting a deed scarf

LOL! Egg on my face.

And not just egg… “massive” egg.

Is that like an emu egg? Or is it lotsa little eggs like what my bantams lay? Takes four of those mofos to make one regular chook egg.

The only “massive” thing here is the massive Lols. 😂

Sweet pea, I’m not saying you are making things up, just saying you’ve said he’s told you he’s staying and signed. Just pointing out to the other posters that you’d look pretty stupid if he left. I don’t think you’d put yourself in that position. Don’t get your knickers in a knot. Wasn’t an attack against you I was sticking up for you

I can verify that sighting. A "deed scarf". Is that a scarf with a signature on it? 😄

I like the idea the club just literally forgot to announce this and it's all just one giant misunderstanding! while it'd be an ordinary look it'd be pretty funny.

Yes! It IS a sign! It’s a sign that Lily Johnson’s boyfriend came to watch her play.

I barely post on here so apologies for not knowing who that is. I don't think you'd have any egg on face either if he does leave, my point was all players wouldn't be telling random fans what their actual intention is if they know it'd upset the fans.

Don't stress, we are all entitled to our opinions

Well I hope you will continue to post whatever it is you decide is relevant @Ghostwriter .

I only have a personal opinion so I appreciate anything you are willing to share from your interactions.

My sincere hope is that you are correct and that McVee has already agreed to terms. Not just that it would be disappointing for you to be on the receiving end of some deceiving information but that it would be detrimental to us to lose a known commodity and consistent senior player.

Even though she thought I was having a go at her, she’s normally pretty spot on with things.

Time will tell I guess!

100% its clear GW has amazing access and the extraordinary trust of many players. l don't recall anyone getting that close to the players on this forum and maintaining a high level of integrity. l place alot of value on her comments for that reason. It doesn't reflect on her abilities or connections with the players if on occasion players may or may not hold something back. Doesn't make her wrong.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
