Think Howe played like 5 games up forward then Collingwood got some injuries and Buckley was like "oh well". He's never seen the forwardline since lol.

Roos always knew he wasn't a forward.

That's not true Collingwood turned him into a defender, he never played down back for Melbourne. Just ask the pies supporters.

I don't believe we have a young player ready to step up so there is no development issue but more likely a list issue.

It's going to be interesting to see how we handle White.

Do we see him as a potential ruck or a KP player???

Either way if he makes it he's still a few years off.

There is obviously a development issue at play with several players who are not getting played in their positions or getting a decent run at it - that does not change depending on what level of skill the player has – and the football department needs to improve.

That's a different issue. I'm talking specifically about the ruck position.

Cal Twomey on Gettable stating that Adelaide have previously held interest in Judd, and now that the NWM chase is effectively over, he's posed the question as to whether Adelaide visit this again and 'up the interest'.

He's also framed this against the signs being that JM will stay with the Dees and that has been the indication all season.

Happy with AMW re-signing.

I know it was only a match simulation against North but he looked terrific that day and he was absolutely penned in for the GWS round 1 game in the absence of McVee.

(Mind you JVR played his best game of the year in that match simulation so I'm sort of arguing against myself...)

He's dating Lily Johnson. Not sure it actually makes any difference

It doesn’t make any difference.

A grand total of zero.

Why would you post this in Judd’s contract thread? It has nothing to do with Judd’s contract. Maybe you accidentally posted it here instead of in an AFLW thread? Or maybe this is a failed attempt at humour?

Lily is a football player in her own right.

Ah, thanks! I was definitely confused. Makes sense. Surely he takes into account her being here but that’s about all.

I’m guessing he’s not happy with conditions and wants a huge pay increase or role to remain, or has resigned to the fact he’s leaving and will. Based off he’s most recent form, not overly upset if he goes, which is a shame because he was really quite smooth for a while there.

Great to see Goldy back

If I were the club I would withdraw the offer. What is he waiting for? Must have a high opinion of himself!

Unsure, but they certainly have had more success.

It will if Johnson finds herself out of the team and Daisey offers her a contract.

Only once they moved on,Bedford was a sub for half his games ar the Dee's

have they?

jj is a premiership player with the mfc, made a grand final with bloods, no finals in 2025

bedford has gone from someone who has been a great tagger to someone who is arguably on the fringes of gw$ best side

Bedford plays every week for the Giants, he isn’t a fringe player.

Awesome to have Goldy back in the side!

But the poster’s comment “concerning” had nothing to do with the W team selections and everything to do with Lily Johnson being dropped which is “concerning” purely because she’s Judd’s partner. 🙄

i was aware Lily is Judd's girlfriend

my response was to allay the concerns regarding team selection. Goldy and Gall make us stronger (no disrespect to Lily or Pisano)

Yeah, you and I are on the same page, we just don’t know it 😅

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Collingwood

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
