Was Travis injured during last weeks game?

Because according to 774 ABC news this morning, they said that "Aaron Davey and Travis Johnstone look set to play against Collingwood on Monday"

Could this explain his average game?

Foot, leg, ankle? Think something has been troubling trap below the waist, not sure what though.

Well if he is set to play, clearly it isn't too bad.

He is definitely carrying something though.

Just read that Shaw and Clement are out, while Presti is in doubt and obviously so is Buckley (if he plays, get Carroll to tackle him at the first bounce and he's out of there).

I'm looking forward to Robbo dominating, now that Clement is not playing.

Como's out for four, he's screwed his foot. Good news about Shaw, he's a damaging player and thought ten days would have been enough to get over a corky.

All-Australian defender James Clement and Heath Shaw are both out of contention, with their respective calf and corked-thigh injuries.

Paul Licuria, who tore a hamstring in Round 4, trained at top pace in his bid to convince the selectors his one game back with Williamstown last weekend is enough preparation to earn a recall.

Key defender Simon Prestigiacomo was again missing with a continuing foot problem, but he is expected to take his place in the side.

is it just me or given that the games on monday is it not a long time away to be ruling out a player with a corky?

Just another rumour doing the rounds re: presti, mon will reveal all..

According to The Age, Johnno just has "general soreness".

Which means anything from a broken bone, to OP, to pulled muscle, to toothache, to "we're trying to confuse Collingwood".

'General soreness' is probably the most useless injury term in AFL.

Which player doesn't have general soreness at Round 11?

That's what I would have thought and it's been alluded during the week that he was going to pull up.

Well he’d been our best player against West coast and the kanga’s but he started the adelaide game on the bench. Also started after half time on the bench. This would suggest that either ND was trying to lose, or something’s not quite right with him.

Presti has stress fractures of the foot which has been troubling him.

Not at all, the corky Shaw got was very severe. He probably still has bleeding in his leg and would be finding even walking difficult.

Maybe he need to knock the top off one

The stats surely tell the story.

Game time v Adelaide = 54%.

If he were 100% fit, that would be >80%.

MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
