No, pagan played 143 games for North and South Melbourne. That was a brain fade by BT referring to Fagan as Pagan…

On the back of Daisy Thomas being referring to as Daisy Pearce at the start of the game

Ashcroft has been impressive. Andrews was good when the Swans were trying to play early. But as others have said, Neale is likely to get the Norm Smith.

Omg do u think BT could get ANYTHING right in his commentary.

He is like the weather reporters who say the wrong thing but still has a job. Unbelievable.

At  least he has stopped banging on about the wind and players aiming for the left post on every shot ..

That would have gone down well. Was that BT? Also Daisy hasn't been on 7 all year

“He never plays outside his capabilities.” These are the insights that have me still watching the game. 🤣

I’d be amazed if someone ever played outside of what they were capable of 😁

For Sydney to lose like this again tells me it’s an MCG thing. They can clog up their home ground and then keep contesting it forward. Sydney in this game clogged up the middle but left a Brisbane player or two last on defensive line and also offensive line. Same as Geelong and GWS last few weeks just kept kicking it to Starcevic. No numbers running forward all getting ready to defend midfield.

Dang - how the hell did you end up with us sad sacks then? 🙃

I've been watching the second half and getting that unnerving sense that this Brisbane side is player-by-player that little bit bigger and stronger than their opponents all over the ground.

Hopefully that's just a reflection of Sydney's wilting performance because with even more goid F-S prospects coming and ongoing academy benefits, their list has plenty of renewal coming.

Yep - despite them saying the ground is almost as big as the mcg now... it still is a postage stamp. The 50 (if it is legitimate these days) is still so close the smaller centre square. That ground and kardinia park belong in 16 a side vfa... they're not compatible with modern footy

Delighted to see Conor McKenna get to play. No pressure on him in this game. He is the second player to do the double - Gaelic Football and Aussie Rules.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
