Say we end up doing the trade, that would leave us with 5, 15, 45 and 61.

45 for Daniel? Or perhaps future 3rd?

61 for Derksen?

Daniel who? Surely not Caleb Daniel from WB.

I will cancel the membership if this is correct weight.

I was just hazarding a guess as to trades with players we've been linked to.

Speculation was that Daniel could make his way here by some in the media, previous trades for older fringe 22 players have been 3rd rounders (current or future).. I.e Billings, Hunter. Daniel fits that bill and is contracted so didn't think pick 45 was too far out of range of a possible trade scenario

@adonski stated that he is likely to stay at the dogs now anyway, not sure on source.

I think we should definitely be aiming for this, particularly when Brisbane needs points for Marshall too, but I just can’t see how we can compete with Richmond.

I did a quick breakdown of the picks they hold yesterday and it is obscene how many picks they have. Currently 1, 21, 29, 39, 41, 47, 57, 66, 72, 75.
This is before you even factor in 1st rounders coming in for Baker, Bolton, Rioli & Graham (more likely 2nd). Surely they’ll try to trade some for futures, but will likely keep the majority this year for such a reputed deep draft.

By my reckoning, they’ll have minimum 5x top 30 picks. And they’ll be targeting any club that has an academy or FS candidate.

Brisbane would only be using us to inflate the cost for Richmond, we can’t compete & they can’t possibly keep all of those picks.

I can understand those points, you make total sense there and I would only be guessing in terms of providing answers.

In saying that, I don't believe it's all seemingly settled. Christian not being traded and Christian being happy and settled are different things in my view.

IMO Petracca isn’t happy, no matter what  anyone thinks, as he wanted to leave and at this stage it looks like not happening.

He might be accepting of the current situation, as he really has very little choice atm, if he wants to continue as an AFL player.

The situation might change at trade time this year or next year, who knows and if he stays and we are successful next year and he feels vindicated he may stay and then be happy.

He’s not happy because he almost died & hasn’t been able to train/play to move on from that. He will with time.

Tigers will need their best picks as they finished last and are losing good players.

Right... I don’t get your point.

Tigers will use their early picks & have no use for their plethora of late picks, so will happily package them for more early picks. And they’ll have more than us.

I was only commenting on your post about the obscene number of picks Tigers have, I meant they will need all the high picks they can get.

I think we agree with each other though.

Hope so. Jagga Smith and Cooper Hynes with Rivers, Kozzy, McVee and Kolt would transform our midfield.

Without a doubt.

I can't see Hynes slipping to mid 20s, if we land a pick from 15-20 I think it's gotta be him. Could be like getting Sam Lalor in a 20% off sale.

Scary the number of high picks they'll have in what's reported to be a deep draft. Who's their list manager? Wouldn't want to [censored] this draft up tigers. No pressure!!!

Tigers are in the box seat but will give up a lot of seasoned players.  They’ll go young. Three steps back.  Odds on 2025 wooden spooners too.  Lions are all laughing … screw the other clubs to get points.  Then pickup guaranteed two of the very best players in the draft.  FFS.

Ah yes, this does make sense now. A couple of posters have made similar confusing comments and I had no idea where it was coming from. I have read Demonland for quite some time, but have only recently started attempting to contribute. First time, long time, as they say. It's certainly more feisty interacting here than I anticipated, even after being reasonably familiar with the site alread.

Fair play, and thanks for responding. Was just curious so thought I’d ask. Happy posting!

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
