The Taciturn Demon 624 Posted September 20, 2024 Posted September 20, 2024 That's an awful injury list. The midfield was looking thin even before the Beasley injury. I guess a small (obvious) silver lining is getting to try players we may not have had Beasley, Mackin, Purcell and Paxman been available. Quote
Timothy Reddan-A'Blew 5,690 Posted September 20, 2024 Posted September 20, 2024 Note to self: Time to put a line through some of the greater expectations for this season and settle back into the pre-2021 MFC supporter vibe of celebrating the 'little wins'. Actual wins are going to be hard to come by. Quote

Dees only have 2 emergencies for Saturday, youngsters Johnson and Madigan. A condensed draw with 3 games in 10 days will surely see more injuries. The AFL may have kicked an own goal here. Collingwood similarly suffering from lack of player availability. If we are allowed to add further injury replacement players, Casey BnF winner Meg McDonald, while not quick, is a ball magnet with AFLW experience and would enhance our current list balance. 1 Quote

Timothy Reddan-A'Blew 5,690 Posted October 15, 2024 Posted October 15, 2024 After Sunday's meaningful reinjections, only Pearce, B Mackin - both 'prossible' for Round 9 - and Colvin remain as returnables. Four 'Seasons' (thanks Signor Vivaldi) round out the list. After our young team's darkest hour, sneaking up on finals now? Quote
