That may be the case but he did not slander his current club and fans publicly.

Considering that WB is even smaller than the MFC.

My point was about uber professionals and wanting their club to be the best they can be.  Yet you find an angle to malign Petracca, again.

I said it weeks ago, its time to get behind him.

Why he didn't come out publicly day one to deny any of the noise going around in the media? Seriously a very easy fix.

So saying nothing is slander.

I will wait until round one, or zero?, next year.

I like the talk on the field not off.

I think you should rescind the accusation of slander.

The just leave, graciously. Behind closed doors find a deal.

Are we really going to condone what he did? And the negative impact it could have on the team?

I don’t think he wanted to leave. If standards don’t improve, he will.
But I firmly believe he wanted to put the club on some notice,

The old ‘if at first you don’t succeed, get Tom Morris to act as your mouthpiece’ plan?

Not sure it’s a great long term strategy.

Meanwhile the CEO said on Radio that we have the best culture he has seen in 40 years…

I know who I would believe

Right??!! Trawling through threads to quote old posts so as he can be like oh but you said this…

I only wish I had that much free time on my hands.

And he doesn’t let stuff go. Ever. EVER

I’ve already told Andy that the day I disappear from Demonland it will be purely because of this one person.

He is one of the posters when Melksham was selected last year who quipped " he must have photo's of Goodwin"

But why can’t both things be true? Why do we have to pick a side in all this?

Tracc has acted poorly, while also having some legitimate and real concerns about how the club is being managed.

I don’t get how calling out his behaviour equals accepting that the club is all good. Both things can be true.

No point in rehashing the same arguments. There is blame on both sides here.

Trac has recommitted and there doesn't appear to be any hard feelings with the playing group or goody. Thats the most important thing. Hopefully he can back to best after his awful injury and put this whole episode behind him.

For clarity Trac did not recommit but rather released a statement that he remains committed.

Can you provide evidence or quote from Trac where he's slandered the club and fans?

For all those praising Bontempelli's loyalty:  frustrated-superstars-future-in-doubt

"However, it is the understanding of Gullan that his continued faithfulness to the club that drafted him at Pick #4 in 2013 is no longer guaranteed, should cultural differences between key personnel and team success not be positively rectified.

“He’s very loyal Bont obviously – he wants to be there – but this is a reality, and if things continue to go down this path, and he get to the end of this year and he still hasn’t re-signed, that is trouble".

It is now the end of the season and he hasn't signed.

Team success is what the uber professionals like Petracca and Bontempelli work so hard for.  They want the rest of the team to lift to their standards.  They want their club's to be culturally strong.

If folks reckon Bontempelli isn't checking other clubs they have their heads in the sand!

The media has said little about Bontempelli.  Lets wait and see if he signs beyond 2025.

Oooh. You know who would be handy in our midfield? 🤣

You are right.  Petracca acted poorly and there is nothing wrong with calling him out for it.  But much of it has been OTT and tbh quite undignified.  The latter comment doesn't apply to you; your comments on any topic are quite fair.

As an aside, I laughed at Pert's 'best culture he had seen in 40 years'.  I'm sure he believed it but how would he know; his only experience was an extinct Fitzroy and Collingwood.  Hardly best practice yardsticks.

Personally i think the Club has acted very poorly over the last 2 years

We would have cap space for sure. Would he be a free agent ? 1.5M over 5 years?

We talking Bont here?

She has explained it in the past, but let's say that he is not a humble down to earth type of guy. Seems that he may be one of the few players that doesn't care much to mingle with the DA.

Again I am paraphrasing her from previous discussions about it, but I think you get the gist.

Btw, on a personal comment, I wouldn't mind swapping Petracca with Bontempelli.

This comment frustrates me no end with our supporters.

When Roos took over as coach, I attended preseason training at Gosch's Paddock regularly. In the rehab group were Vince, Howe and Watts. Vince and Howe were just running laps whilst training was in progress. A group of supporters sitting near me were calling out to them to come over. Vince and Howe ignored them. Vince left the track with what looked like a hammy, whilst Howe got berated by the supporters for ignoring them and they called him a snob to his face. Meanwhile Jack Watts was on the other side of the ground chatting to supporters whilst training was still in progress. It's not surprising which players fulfilled their potential. And BTW, these supporters weren't kids.

Some supporters believe that the players should give them their undivided attention 24/7.

Yeah, I suspect so too. I just wish the whole thing didn’t feel so much like an own goal.

The entitlement from some of them is ridiculous.

Stop hassling them and just leave them be. Bernie Vince is all round of the most genuine blokes you could ever meet.

My mail is that Collingwood were pleased to see him go.

The Club has had a few chances to come clean, but have declined to do so. Pert on SEN  saying the Culture was fantastic, was the final nail for me, they were prepared to sweep it under the carpet.
Tracc went public because there was no other option.
My opinion…

Tracc as a Chef as an outside activity, was much smarter than what a few other players decided to do outside Football

  • NON-MFC: Round 06

The Easter Round kicks off in style with a Thursday night showdown between Brisbane and Collingwood, as both sides look to solidify their spots inside the Top 4 early in the season. Good Friday brings a double-header, with Carlton out to claim consecutive wins when they face the struggling Kangaroos, while later that night the Eagles host the Bombers in Perth, still chasing their first victory of the year. Saturday features another marquee clash as the resurgent Crows look to rebound from back-to-back losses against a formidable GWS outfit. That evening, all eyes will be on Marvel Stadium where Damien Hardwick returns to face his old side—the Tigers—coaching the Suns at a ground he's never hidden his disdain for. Sunday offers two crucial contests where the prize is keeping touch with the Top 8. First, Sydney and Port Adelaide go head-to-head, followed by a fierce battle between the Bulldogs and the Saints. Then, Easter Monday delivers the traditional clash between two bitter rivals, both desperate for a win to stay in touch with the top end of the ladder. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?

What were they thinking? I mean by “they” the coaching panel and team selectors who chose the team to play against an opponent who, like Melbourne, had made a poor start to the season and who they appeared perfectly capable of beating in what was possibly the last chance to turn the season around. It’s no secret that the Demons’ forward line is totally dysfunctional, having opened the season barely able to average sixty points per game which means there has been no semblance of any system from the team going forward into attack. Nevertheless, on Saturday night at the Adelaide Oval in one of the Gather Round showcase games, Melbourne, with Max Gawn dominating the hit outs against a depleted Essendon ruck resulting from Nick Bryan’s early exit, finished just ahead in clearances won and found itself inside the 50 metre arc 51 times to 43. The end result was a final score that had the Bombers winning 15.6 (96) to 8.9 (57). On balance, one could expect this to result in a two or three goal win, but in this case, it translated into a six and a half goal defeat because they only managed to convert eight times or 11.68% of their entries. The Bombers more than doubled that. On Thursday night at the same ground, the losing team Adelaide managed to score 100 points from almost the same number of times inside 50.
