This may just blow over. No club will deal with his contract. The players know, and have a bond that includes multi-generational in a variety of leagues. It is why the MFC can "celebrate" end of season with him. Bridges aren't burnt.

Gives us plenty to get entertained about in a finals series that we are not included in. We are on the lips of the media hordes. Must have taken a leaf out of the Collingwood play book. That's branding.

Also paging @Chook in Perth again - his post gone too soon 😭

I totally understand why Andy deleted my post. But I don't know how to explain what I know that doesn't paint many parties in a negative light.

I've found a solution tonight to the stress of our footy club burning down.

My dad listened to country music a lot while I was a kid and I truly hated it.

I discovered Johnny Cash a decade or so  ago and then Drive by Truckers, The Graveyard Train, Justin Townes Earle etc etc.

While I love garage, punk music etc a lot. Country has a special place in my heart now and Gillian Welch and Dave Rawlings are truly one of my favourite artists. The harmonies, the tumbling guitar lines by Dave are beautiful.

I thoroughly recommend listening to their new album while reading the apocalypse on this site.

You are highly likely to just give up the thread, put the phone down and grab a beer or a glass of wine and wrap yourself in their exquisite music.

If I can save a couple of demonlanders from this thread for a few hours, I'll be happy.

Hope a few of you tune in and drop out.

All the best to you all. Some big messy stuff ahead for our club but there's more to life than footy.

Love Brownie.

Better solution to the stress of football.

You're not on notice.

Apologies, I think I might have triggered you there with all the other comments flying around.  Was trying to make a bit of a joke (although in the past I think a few posts have gone thru the auto moderator, and it's fine.)

My comment was more to the poster JCB, who started his post with "Ouch!" I mean he even got the punctuation correct and all :)

BTW keep up the good work, appreciate the efforts of you and mods. 👍

As Kosh once said, understanding is a three edged sword, their version, our version and the truth.

Any small thing is being pumped as important and blown out of proportion.  Trac is currently back with the boys from reports.

This is not to say that there aren't issues. But issue take time to work through if they are to be done properly.

We just need to ride it out.  If the tigers have a great set of draft picks coming to them.

At this point no idea. Often in these situations its as simple as the opportunitist managers flying a kite to see if they can get their bloke some of the extra filthy lucre available, should Christian get traded to the Lakers like he desires

I basically need a dual monitor setup to keep track of the Trac and Kozzy threads. This club really is fighting on multiple fronts here.

Gut feel on if the club caves and trades him, or if we hold him to his contract and really upset the applecart?

If I’m getting the tone of your posts right, you are a little too excited about this issue.

Id prefer you attacking Trac and everything to do with Trac. Just like everyone on here 😂😝

Im also assuming you are a new friend with Trac on Insta. You know I’m right  here….

Also, no one cares about Ashton Smashton Moir. He irrelevant to us Demonlanders.

Good day Sir 🤩😂

Yes, this speculation has piqued my interest. Firstly Tracc is my favourite Demon, actually my favourite non-Blue footballer. Was saddened to hear of his issues with MFC and looking to leave ...

... then I hear Carlton talked about as possibly the primary destination ... now my interest levels are sky high ...

Don't really frequent Insta but I do take an interest in things culinary actually, dabble in the kitchen sometimes,  so maybe I should check out Tracc's handiwork, how is he with Asian cuisines, does he make Som Tum Pla Ra (love salted crabs)? 😁

Think Tracc might have to take a salary haircut if he really wants to catch the 19 Tram up Royal Parade though. I think Carlton could rustle up the money inside the cap but if there is a disparity with other Carlton stars that is a problem.

It is an excellent album. In a similar vein, Waxahatchee tickets for her November tour went on sale today…suggest you go along.

On another note, we will rise again…sooner than it seems. I’m sure of it.

Dude, Andy literally just did a bunch of posts explaining why there is moderation, how he is otherwise at risk of legal action, and how deliberately circumventing moderation (and ignoring warnings) will result in a ban...

You thought I was serious about the pigeon English thing?

What would Jackson & Roos be thinking after laying down the foundations and watching it collapse!  There was footage of when Roos telling Petracca your playing your first senior game and the look on face of Trac! what has become of our club???

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Western Bulldogs

The Dogs reigned supreme in 2018 with an inaugural AFLW premiership cup and the Demons matched this feat by winning the cup as the Season 7 2022 champions.Meggs wasn’t born when the Doggies won their first VFL premiership cup against the Demons in 1954. Covid prevented many Demons fans from legally witnessing the victorious 2021 AFL Grand Final cup performance between the Demons and the Bulldogs, but we all grin when remembering those magnificent seven third quarter goals.

  • PREVIEW: Hawthorn

Hawthorn and Melbourne. Two teams with impressive form from last week but with seasons that are travelling on different trajectories meet in Saturday’s twilight game for what could well be the most intriguing contest of the AFL’s penultimate round. Sadly, the game has been relegated to that unappealing time slot in the weekend when Melburnians are typically preoccupied with activities other than football. It falls between the morning's shopping, afternoon sport and recreation, and Saturday night fever. A time usually reserved for relatively insignificant events but this one is not a nothingburger for either of the clubs or their fans.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
