Dark horse for me is GWS.  They really deserved to make and perhaps even win the GF last year- only thing that got in their way was the ‘umpire assisted premiers’ aka ‘the Ferals’ in the preliminary final.

Wouldn't by me.

I reckon he let us down badly and maybe cost us another flag going home...

I hope they never win one in his time there.

He can come back if he want's another flag.

Agreed. I get absolutely no satisfaction or enjoyment watching Luke Jackson in a Freo jumper.

He’s the type of ruck/forward we wanted Grundy to be, and we now have a painfully obvious void in that position this year.

If Freo are playing a Carlton on GF day, I’d prefer them to win, but they’re certainly not high on my preferences.

Based on their games against us i can't see anyone beating Fremantle. They have talen all over the ground and a coach that exploits the oppositions weakness

Add @rjay to the petition for inviting Dogga back to the club. 😆

If he can come back in a Trent Croad situation and win us another flag then yes, I definitely want him back.

probably one of the most even and hardest to pick years i can remember

on their day any of the current 8 has a chance

i think 3 are slightly ahead on form and record - swans, lions and wanchors

a lot will depend on late form, fitness, luck, injuries and home ground advantage

i wouldn't be putting money on any

How badly do you wanna say “The Blues”??? 😁

I chose Carlton for sentimental reasons but I genuinely think they’ll win it.

As long as Essendon don’t stand a chance… I won’t have to move outta my suburb.

+1

I don't actively follow old friends of the club and will them to be successful but give me Jesse winning with GWS over that anyday.

Even Harmes and Baker with the Doggies would be more preferable.

This is likely the correct answer.

He who is in the running and has the best next 6 weeks wins.

I am going to go Carlton because this is what the AFL wants, and just like last year with the Pies, what the AFL wants the AFL gets.

Brisbane will [censored] the bed again in finals.

yes I totally agree, the year post flag he totally laid down I thought and was a non contributor, really should have been dropped, no I can't forgive him yet for that, too blatant I'm afraid, but I will say he probably is the one player that we haven't come close to replacing unfortunately

The Blues can win it. If Carlton were to hit the form we had late last season it is definitely possible. Will we regain that form? ... remains to be seen. Giving the Pies a pasting tomorrow night would be a good way to start! 😁

Essendon probably won't make the 8 and if they manage to scrape in will be bundled out straight away IMHO.

Demonland stood up well in this poll

Over 64% had Sydney or Brisbane winning the flag

Although, we did have Freo as next best with 12.82%!!

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
