Any week that Collingwood, Carlton and Essendon all lose is a very good week, oh damn. One week out,   Still pies and Blues lise its still good

The accuracy of the Giants (16.4) is incredible.
That’s a lot of post-goal songs. More Chili Peppers please, Jesse! 😁

Thanks Jesse!!!

Come on, that 50 was ridiculous. Brutal. Especially since it guaranteed a Carlton goal.

Soft 50

HH didn’t even kick it per se. Just ridiculous. Potential momentum killer and a gifted goal.

13 goals to 2 since quarter time forthe giants

there's only one explanation... where are they in the volume of their 10 month long training program?

We recruited Jessie about 10 years too early.

meet people where they are at, and treat them with compassion.

Fab move from Kinglsey here.

Spotted Cripps as the main obstacle getting in their road from about mid way through the second.

Sacrificed the game of Bedford and told him to use his speed and agility to hassle Cripps out of the game which he's done from about 5 min to go in the 2nd quarter.

No Cripps  ... No Carlton

Meaning?

We did what we could, really well, at the time. 😀

Life is all about who crosses your path and at what stage they are in their life.

Rolled gold block free to Hogan there.  Disgraceful non decision for the certain sealer

Another disgraceful decision.  Perfect tackle.  Let go on the way down after the Carlton opponent had incorrectly disposed (dropped) the ball.

Instead of a correct free to the tackler he rewards the offender.  Such amatures

Dont argue... tackled to ground ... no free.

Game's conpletely rooted

Can the umpires get CFC over the line?  Only need 2+ goals in 3 minutes

Ignored a clear HTB against CFC with 2 minutes to go

Well the umps did their best but couldn't get the Blues up.  That's one of the best wins of the season.

  • POSTGAME: Essendon

Despite a spirited third quarter surge, the Demons have slumped to their worst start to a season since 2012, remaining winless and second last on the ladder after a 39-point defeat to Essendon at Adelaide Oval in Gather Round.

It’s Game Day, and the Demons are staring down the barrel of an 0-5 start for the first time since 2012 as they take on Essendon at Adelaide Oval for Gather Round. In that forgettable season, Melbourne finally broke their drought by toppling the Bombers. Can lightning strike twice? Will the Dees turn their nightmare start around and breathe life back into 2025?

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

As the focus of the AFL moves exclusively to South Australia for Gather Round, the question is raised as to what are we going to get from the  Melbourne Football Club this weekend? Will it be a repeat of the slop fest of the last three weeks that have seen the team score a measly 174 points and concede 310 or will a return to the City of Churches and the scene where they performed at their best in 2024 act as a wakeup call and bring them out of their early season reverie?  Or will the sleepy Dees treat their fans to a reenactment of their lazy effort from the first Gather Round of two years ago when they allowed the Bombers to trample all over them on a soggy and wet Adelaide Oval? The two examples from above tell us how fickle form can be in football. Last year, a committed group of players turned up in Adelaide with a businesslike mindset. They had a plan, went in confidently and hard for the football and kicked winning scores against both home teams in a difficult environment for visitors. And they repeated that sort of effort later in the season when they played Essendon at the MCG.
