I can’t go for Essendon to win, I’m still recovering from the last time I did this. It was in 2021 and Essendon winning was beneficial for us. At one point though, I heard myself whisper, “Go Jake (Stringer)” and I knew it was only a matter of time before I’d be saying, “Go Jakey!” and there’s no coming back from that.

I would need to shower in disinfectant if I uttered those words 😬

I did see my GP but apparently having one’s tongue cut out isn’t a thing in this part of the world.

I hope the Demons players/coaching staff watched the GC/filth last quarter. There would be some serious learnings there.

Huh?

So remember when the media kept bringing up Toby Greene and him jumping up & sticking out the boots, well when will people wake up & start bringing up Darcy moore

Good to see the Trac incident didn’t have any effect on Moore- still only too happy to put his knee into another players back.

Yes interesting that everyone has a duty of care these days. If you choose to bump and get them high you are in trouble, if you tackle you have a duty to the welfare of the player you tackle. But if you drive your flexed knee into the stationary, unsuspecting player in front of you on their blind side and smash their ribs and worse that’s OK it’s just part of footy apparently! I just hope Moore gets some reciprocal treatment from someone. Surely the AFL key forward fraternity would be noting this reckless behaviour and be thinking I better get him before he gets me?

I thought that Gresham and Billings were the same person.

Given that they aren't, I think we would have been better off with Gresham.

They’ll get weeks if they do.

but we’d be paying at least double the salary

I didn't watch the game but now that Collingwood have lost it'll be funny to watch Maynard staging. Does anyone remember roughly what time of the game it was?

Maynard in the middle of all the fiery action
https://www.afl.com.au/video/1160030

You can see it here. Not a single media person has mentioned it though.

Hit in top left chest, falls like he's been winded with a gut punch and then holds his head on the ground. Not a peep from the commentators.

Good to see opposition fans in social media having a crack at Maynard & his staging. It gets the pies fans riled up

I’ll eat my shoe if the AFL fines their darling thug

Not only is he a thug, he’s also one of the weakest cowards in the competition. Always hitting opponents when they’re not looking and then flopping when he gets anything coming back.
A bigger piece of [censored] you won’t find in the game. I truly wish a speedy end to this bog ordinary career.

Maynard won’t get fined as it’s exaggerated contact. The AFL hasn’t admitted to itself that this exists in the game. Zero chance Maynard even gets looked at

May got fined as he pretended he hit his head on the ground. He didn’t exaggerate contact that was made

Yeah but if the giants won they'd pass Collingwood on the ladder

What’s the difference? Both is about trying to get a free kick when one isn’t warranted.

Theres a chance we replace the bombers in the 8 in two weeks time. Worst top 8 team currently.

I was having a look at the run home and yikes what an epic winning streak we are about to have! Six of our remaining eight games will be proverbial 8-point games against other teams in the traffic jam, with only the Eagles and Dockers either definitely in or definitely out.

Meanwhile, Magpies are basically done travelling for the season now. It is all MCG except for one game at the SCG. BUT with their faltering form and with a finish against the Blues, Swans, Lions and Demons, they may yet drop out of the 8 as fast as Maynard dropping for a free.
