6. ANB - Never stopped trying

5. Oliver - Our only midfielder who seemed to get his hands on the ball consistently

4. Pickett - Always exciting to watch.

3. Salem - Decent return from injury.

2. Petracca - Had some good moments but went missing for large portions of the game.

1. Fritsch - Our only winner in the forward 50

Sorry dubdee but kozzzy seriously ran in circles most of the night.  Turned in 360 degree circles and uses his left foot to spray the footy.  Had 3 golden chances for goals in the 3rd quarter.  Had some good moments like run and pass to McAdam.   But not our best. Not even close.

It’s been a very long time since I’ve cast votes after a loss like that one, but I’ll have a crack:
6.   ANB  -  continued his excellent season.  Busted his gut all game, and imo, was our best by a fair margin. Won plenty of the ball, and used it constructively.
5.   Viney  -  can’t question his endeavour, but disposal was questionable under pressure.
4.   Fritsch  -  our only forward.  Thank goodness for his set shot kicking
3.    Pickett -  always looked dangerous around the ball, but often tried to be too ‘cute’ when he had it.
2.   Oliver  -  got plenty of the ball, but not damaging with it.
1.   Salem  -  nice return after injury.  Good second half, and used it well.

No wonder we were soundly beaten!!

1. ANB.

Just so tired of watching kicks go over heads, or bounce short, or hospital handballs or guys who just slam it on the boot when they have time. By the same guys week after week after week.    We had 36 inside 50s for the game against a bottom 4 side on a dry day.   The list above represents disposal efficiency.

Best 7 were Gawn, ANB, Pickett, Rivers, Viney, Oliver and Fritsch, but all were a fair way behind the Eagles best.  Probably go:

6. ANB

5. Gawn

4. Pickett

3. Fritsch

2. Viney

1. Rivers

Having said that, it was a poor a performance as we've seen since the dross we served up in Cairns in 2020. May - worst game in a very long time and he had plenty of mates.  Our mids were flogged by the Boy Wonder and his counterparts.

May received just 26 AFs!

26!

Maysie, we love you and need you.

6. ANB

5. Pickett

4. Gawn

3. Oliver
