For those not watching, you are not missing much. Tomlinson looks great, but when you’ve got that many inside 50s against you, he’s seeing a lot of the ball.

woey is playing back and is doing ok. Doesn’t help he’s got nothing to kick to.

im not sure where AMW is playing. Kolt looking good but he’s getting no help in the midfield. Brown a cherry on top player so isn’t useful at Casey.

Tomlinson delivering some payback on the Hawks for Maysie.

Do you think he might be rubbed out for it?

Nope - not high, and he got up and had a shot for goal later, so low impact and not high.

Kolt - looks the goods and would be better if he had some players around him. If he had Viney in there (or Moose) he’d have a little more support.

Woey - needs more help around him for outlet kicks. But he’s done a few silly things himself and not really concentrating on the moment. playing like he is the senior player and he has to bring us back into it.

Fullerton - looks nice. Marks and runs well.

Tomlinson - this is too easy for him.

jefferson and Laurie - they are first round picks and I’d hope they would take a bit more responsibility. They more seem like they are waiting for others to do the hard part. They both have the skills, but maybe the injuries are good for them so they have to really be the men.

AMW - love him, but not sure where he is.

Verrall - good in the ruck, needs a little more body work but that should come. Looks like a player.

K brown - running well but he’s got not much around him and seems to be looking up and seeing nothing.

melbourne players there - Gawn, Lever, JVR, Sparrow,

Won't be, but Tomlinson taking risks with bumping when he has left the ground. He managed to turn his body so as to hit the body.

No sense, in that he may be required for the following weeks.

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

Following a disastrous 0–5 start to the season, the Demons have now made it three wins in a row, cruising past a lacklustre West Coast side on their own turf. Skipper Max Gawn was once again at his dominant best, delivering another ruck masterclass to lead the way.

  • GAMEDAY: West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have a chance to notch up their third consecutive win — something they haven’t done since Round 5, 2024. But to do it, they’ll need to exorcise the Demons of last year’s disastrous trip out West. Can the Dees continue their momentum, right the wrongs of that fateful clash, and take another step up the ladder on the road to redemption?
