SNAPSHOT:

When it comes to class and maximum damage in this yearโ€™s AFLW Draft class, it is hard to look past Eastern Ranges small forward, Alyssia Pisano. The talented left-footer is as dominant as anyone when she can wheel around onto her trusted side and win a game off her own boot in a matter of minutes. With weapons galore inside 50 and the potential to develop even further, Pisano is the premier small forward in this yearโ€™s draft crop.

Small forward from Eastern Ranges that is prodigiously talented and tipped to go at the top of the draft and become a fan favourite? Sounds familiar!ย

Whilst a small forward is a definite need for this team, we should be looking for size in the midfield with a top 5 pick.

Unless players from other states nominate nationally, it's slim pickings for players of that type and quality right at the top of the draft, as far as I can see.

Of the VICs, Kayley Kavanagh is the right type but estimated pick 15-30. So maybe we go best available with our top pick, then try to fill that void later.

Alyssia & Alyssa forward combo, add in Zanker and Hore, pretty exciting.

She looks so good in those highlights, long kick, accurate snaps, good agility.

I really think Pisano fills a need in our forward line.

Welcome to the MFC Alyssia. Great interview with Sarah Ollie and spoke very well. The highlights package looked amazing. I'm looking forward to seeing Alyssia play in Round 1 next season.ย

Weโ€™ve got a lot of aerial power but you need a forward line that can create goals even when things are messy. ย Pisano looks like a strong, powerful player that can use her legs and kick to create scores even when the game is messy, like finals often are.

ย Certainly seems like the right type of player to be adding to the group.

When I read about Alyssia Pisano I didnโ€™t think we had any hope of seeing her in the Red and Blue. Just shows how good our recruiting team is, welcome aboard Alyssia hope you kick a bag in 2024.!!

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven Mayย

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 2 Jacob van Rooyen

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.
