Spargy kicks another

T-mac starting well, goal from holding free but presented with a good mark on the outer wing.

Jefferson playing wing is interesting.

Jefferson looks to be playing up the ground on the wing. Interesting.

HOLY TOLEDO WITH HIS FIRST🤣

Great transition there!

Recon these jumpers at to much of a clash

Nothing against the young kid KFW; but I do like that after losing multiple hits outs, Grundy comes up as says “no, no, it’s me now”.

KFW is a lovely project, he just hasn’t learned football yet.

Brisbane’s kicking is keeping us in it. We are getting smashed around the ball. They are much bigger than us which doesn’t help and we seem to be taking longer in each possession than we should.

Dan Turner picked up where he left off. If Tom McD makes it through the game he’ll play against Syd. Spargo and Grundy are ready if/when required.

Jefferson looking ok. He’s clearly football smart and listens. He keeps his space, looks where the players and spacing is. Oddly I’d liken it to ANB, you know he is working really hard to do what the coach is asking if him.

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.

It's Game Day and the Demons face a monumental task as they take on the top-of-the-table Magpies in one of the biggest games on the Dees calendar: the King's Birthday Big Freeze MND match. Can the Demons defy the odds and claim a massive scalp to keep their finals hopes alive?

  • CASEY: Collingwood

It was freezing cold at Mission Whitten Stadium where only the brave came out in the rain to watch a game that turned out to be as miserable as the weather.
The Casey Demons secured their third consecutive victory, earning the four premiership points and credit for defeating a highly regarded Collingwood side, but achieved little else. Apart perhaps from setting the scene for Monday’s big game at the MCG and the Ice Challenge that precedes it.
Neither team showcased significant skill in the bleak and greasy conditions, at a location that was far from either’s home territory. Even the field umpires forgot where they were and experienced a challenging evening, but no further comment is necessary.
